Includes Dead Island Definitive Edition, Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition and added into the mix of flesh-eating zombie chaos is a brand new side-scrolling/endless runner action game Dead Island Retro Revenge!
Higher Quality Textures - Game textures have been redone in a higher resolution and the level of quality has been improved across the board
Photorealistic new lighting system - The lighting system in the game has been vastly improved, providing a much more realistic look, enhancing the stunning tropical setting.
Physically based shading - The introduction of new physically based shading techniques due to the latest iteration of the Chrome Engine means a higher quality look to the game models and objects as they react in a more realistic way to various lighting conditions.
Image quality enhancements via anti-aliasing - The addition of more sophisticated anti-aliasing means that console players can now experience Dead Island without unsightly "jaggies" - meaning a much cleaner look throughout.
Improved-quality game models and geometry assets - All major geometry assets (for example: NPCs and character models) highlight a marked quality increase.
HBAO and motion blur effects - The introduction of Horizon-based Ambient Occlusion adds an extra layer of depth and realism to the world through a better implementation of object shadows, while the all-new motion blur effects will provide a much more cinematic feel to the game experience.
Updated game UI - Providing a more consistent look between both Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. Increase to equal quality level for seamless game experience.
The Current-gen Console Experience - The Dead Island Redux Collection will also of course take advantage of the latest console features such as Online 4 Player Co-op, PS Vita Remote-Play (PS4), Share-Play (PS4), streaming and recording.
Power Fists Power-up - And last but not least, The fan favourite unofficial PC mod will also now be added to both products. Punch your way through the mayhem with craziest power-up ever!

A LOT of fun if you play co-op, wouldn't recommend as a game to play through solo.
I wonder if they have sorted out all the glitches on Dead Island riptide what the PS3 version had.

Wonder price of digital. Saves having to buy two copies. Remember dead island 1 was alright. Not as good as dying light but enjoyable.

One of those nice remaster releases you can ignore for a while, then pick off cheap down the line. Good value if you're a big fan of the originals anyway. What did for Dead Island was that magnificent slow-mo trailer that turned out to be nothing like the game. Must admit I did quite like the original in spite of its flaws.

Would it have killed them to have included Escape Dead Island?

Hmm, seems a bit pointless releasing this after dying light...save your money and get a similar but far superior game. Even on lack of glitches it'll beat the remasters hands down

I enjoyed both games, but honestly re-releasing these on a new format is little consolation when we should have been playing Dead Island 2 already. This seems little more than milking an existing game with likely very little done to improve or bug fix as part of the port.

There have been lots of problems in development for Dead Island 2 so they are releasing these two games on the Dead island 2 engine so people don't get bored.
If you have Dying Light Enhanced Edition no need for this.

Definitely a love / hate game. I personally absolutely Loved it despite its many bugs and glitches. The look and setting of the game is incredible. I got very immersed into the games too.

I thought Dead Island 2 was cancelled? Will probably still buy this, played dead island so much on 360 was such a good game. ^^

Dying Light is ten times the game these are, both are terrible.

Awful games that don't deserve a HD remake. Wait long enough and it'll be in the bargain bin

Great price if you're looking to buy this day one. I do think the price might drop fairly quickly if you're happy to wait though.

I thought the same about resident evil and it is yet to drop :disappointed:
