Aliexpress are one of the best far eastern suppliers to order from.
Your funds are not released to the seller until you have taken delivery and confirmed all is well.
Picked up a Oukitel K4000 for 67 quid just before christmas and it is an excellent cheapo phone.
This is a good price but it is a pity it's not a 4G model.

Positive, detailed review on youtube CLICK HERE made by a guy who knows his stuff. These competent, well built bargain price Chinese phones just keep on coming. Factor in UK shipping and there's nothing to not like if you are in the market for a budget phone. Hot.

I was looking for something like this for a friend but the lack of 4G was a bit of an issue and I found this, also from the same UK warehouse mods deleted my post! and thought I'd post to see what people thought.

Oh, ok, I posted a deal from the same seller using the same warehouse and it was marked as spam and deleted - seems your face has to fit - cheers mods!

True, no 4G if that's a dealbreaker. Mind you, comes in the box with a free clear silicone plastic back cover and a factory applied screen protector. Be great if the established UK brands did the same.

right ok got my china phone today from uk seller.
box was unsealed but the excuse for this could be that the seller removed the original charger and put in a uk adaptable charger.
have ran malwarebytes and came back clean. ran 360 security and found something "fradulant messanger" or sth but allowed me to click on the resolve button.
i've browsed through the app list under settings and the only one I see which I'm not sure what is is something called "pandora's box" and pandora's box service 3.6mb and 86kb respecively.
under app permissions for the second it basically lists everythings phone calls, texts, camera , audio gps, contacts, set alarm , screen lock, add move acounds, change system settings, change network connections, control flashlight.....

neither can be uninstalled from the phone just force stopped.

does anyone have any idea.

i have googed pandoras box which comes up to be an app BUT in my app tray it doesnt appear so it's NOT the actual app I have installed.

Atleast you got told, I had to contact them. They keep refusing my cancellation requestion when I select "the seller is unable to ship my order by selected shipping method". 28 Apr 16 #112
To take over 1 week to tell me that it is out of stock is unreasonable. I am sure that they have a dynamic stock system that ties orders up with the number available as posted on listing. I seriously doubt that anyone got a phone dispatched from the UK. It is just a con to get you to order then hopefully you will agree to have it shipped from China at 20-55 day wait. Even then whether you will get anything is questionable. If AliExpress is trying to be China 's answer to Amazon it has along way to go. AVOID.

this is really disappointing. i hear bad things from gearbest. looked at aliexpress shipped from uk and thought they might be better. but seem bad too. i agree should be reviewed and maybe banned fron hukd if they keep messing up as it isn't fair on reliable deals if we keep thinking yeah that thing is good but i can get something better and cheaper at gearbest or aliexpress. for example. i was waiting to get a smart watch with hr monitor from gearbest but the e ink one with 30 day life was only in china so i didn't buy. then we had the 20 quid off amazon warehouse offer so i bought a garmin hr watch from there for 80 quid. so we need know which companies fulfill deals and which are dreams

Is Aliexpress a safe company to deal with? I've dealt with Banggood and Gearbest in the past so are they as secure or reliable as those 2? I've actually got an order outstanding with Banggood but the despatch date keeps disappearing into the future...first it was 15th April, then 21st, 24th, 27th and now 7th May....so i'm looking to cancel that order and get the Cubot instead.

After some info regarding these dual sim phones and in particular the elephone p9000, basically do the uk banking apps work, Barclays in particular apparently doesn't work on rooted phones.

I'm currently using a Lumia 930 which I like and hate in equal measures, I've tried so hard to overlook the lack of apps and incompatibility problems such as videos in the bbc sport apps.

Having started my own business I'm looking to combine work and personal phones in one device but personal / business banking apps are essential for me so anybody have real experience of this?

Read it. That's why they are so cheap cozz they make money selling the stolen information on.
Also I'm guessing phones sold by UK retailers would undergo some sort of check for this kind of thing no? I mean they have to pass trading standards

Definitely a good deal, assuming 4G isn't a requirement.
It definitely a good phone too for its price point, I bought this for my sister couple weeks back & its pretty well built and she loves it. (saying that she was using an ancient clam Samsung thing - so anything would of been an improvement lol) She's kinda in her 60's & new to the smartphone world, so she wanted something cheap but capable for a non demanding user that she is.

NoLED lights up a different colour pixel on the screen for missed calls messages and so on.

Display custom notification icons/dots on the screen. It was developed for the Samsung Galaxy S which lacks a physical dedicated LED.
Supported notifications:
-Text Messages
-Voice Messages
-Missed Calls
-Google Talk
-A Charging indicator
-Calendar events
-Emails (K9 and Gmail can have their own custom settings)
-All other 3rd party apps. For example, Whatsapp, Yahoo Mail and Hotmail. You can enable these via the Monitored Apps feature.
-A charging indicator

i sold my su6 and kinda regretting it but reminding myself it was far from perfect my messaging app didnt work properly and i dislike that it didn't really have led notifications only one blue circle in the middle for all. it was also huge -_- i mean the bezels didnt need to be as big as they were really screen to body ratio could have been better but i guess that's to expect on a budget phone. i love how easily and cheap it was to unlock though.
would be nice to see a smaller phone as budget phone of the year this year. when to they usually come out anyways? no word as yet of what we can expect. hopefully no great jump in price either like moto g have done with their most recent version taking it out the budget catagory.

yes my ask was ambitious but like i said not impossible pretty impressive really to get a phone with those specs from a uk retailer at that price. i'm just not loving my p8 which is somewhat disappointing having came from 2 huawei's previously oh and i guess i'm not overly bothered about it having marshmallow

Can anyone confirm that returns are back to the same UK warehouse when it comes to faulty gear/warranty issues? I'd assume so but I've come across a lot of threads referencing gearbest forcing customers who've had issues to send them to China at their own cost, even though they were bought from the EU warehouse - that's really underhanded!

This phone looks pretty good for the money. It's obviously gonna have a few little niggles, but what do people want for £55?! Heat from me
sotomonkey to woldranger
20 Apr 16 #21
It's illegal too, they should take GearBest to the small claims court. If they're selling stuff within the EU, surely they have to abide by EU law. It makes no difference if you're buying an item that's sent from Germany, Spain or whatever, you should have the same rights as if you bought the item in the UK.

Many thanks for this deal. Only two in white were available for UK and I ordered both. :sunglasses:

True, no 4G if that's a dealbreaker. Mind you, comes in the box with a free clear silicone plastic back cover and a factory applied screen protector. Be great if the established UK brands did the same.

2GB Ram, Android 5.1 and shipped from UK. What's not to like? Hot.

I got this for my dad a couple of months ago, it's quite a nice phone for the price.

Positive, detailed review on youtube CLICK HERE made by a guy who knows his stuff. These competent, well built bargain price Chinese phones just keep on coming. Factor in UK shipping and there's nothing to not like if you are in the market for a budget phone. Hot.
