Using player count is a fair way of stating that the game isn't out dated.
Unless your candy crush or pirate kings comparison to a very hardcore FPS was intentionally a dishonest one, your complaining that it's out of date makes me think you prefer modern FPS tropes like load outs and the game aiming for you as much as possible CS:GO obviously has an audience, do you dislike it because you need to git gud?

Google is your friend, there are thousands of reviews out there, go search. If you really are bothered and want to know which FPS's I like then here are some I enjoyed.
Nope, if you read my initial response I asked quite nicely as I may be overlooking something I wasn't aware of, I dont play CSGO but I'm looking for a competitive FPS game.
I must of missed your reasons other than an old game engine. Can't find them in any other comment.
As you state there a better ones but I can't seem to find any and no one in this thread has mentioned one. No need to take it out on me because everyone else other than me is giving you a hard time for your comments.

What's the point? it would only be my opinion and then what? you will try and tell me otherwise? jog on mate. It's a shiddy old game using an outdated engine and is still popular yes but that means nish. I already said the price was OK but the game for me is meh and I've told you why!
I'm not about to start reviewing other games just to satisfy a CS fanboys who most likely only play the game because there system specs can't run anything more modern and up to date.
I've given you my reasons and opinion so if you can't accept that then tough it's the internet.

Skins are skins, they are a little extra that make no difference to gameplay or axtual content, content is something different, if you have actual content on the day of release it should be free.

Why didn't anyone get angry at the gambling fruit machine thing they do to get skins. People spend so much trying to get a knife. Evolve only tried selling dlc day one and they got killed for it even though the game isn't half bad.
CS isn't a bad shooter and I've spent alot of time playing. Still has 400,000+ players a night after all these years so that says alot about how addictive the competitive side can get.

There's no game that comes remotely close to this one for the teamwork you need to win. You can slate it all you want and call it outdated, but 11m players a night, and an active, interesting pro scene with million dollar tournaments doesn't lend well to your argument. It's good that the visuals are basic and it's easy to run because it's a highly competitive FPS. Nothing is close the gunplay and feel of CS.

It's like people who call COD terrible. COD games have fairly fun gameplay, it's just people are sick of the rehashed yearly installments.

I may not like Candy Crush but that doesn't mean it isn't a good game. If it makes lots of people happy then isn't that the goal of a game?
Ok, maybe popular doesn't equal good. But by "today's standards" a lot of people enjoy CSGO. What other game shares the popularity and critical acclaim on such scale?

The best competitive online game by far. Nothing comes close.
It's a game that has so many complexities and strategies that it takes time to learn. You can't just pick it up and expect to be good at it. That's what keeps people like myself who have been playing it for years coming back.

Not trying to be funny or cause an argument but could you honestly name one other "Competitive FPS" that comes close to CS:GO at present ?
What would you describe as awful about it ? Just so I know what I'm overlooking.
