No idea what you lot are doing to require 16gb or 32gb. The only time ive ever wished for more than 8 was when editing massive Photoshop files. No game i have ever used has taken all 8. You could argue 16gb is for future proofing purposes i guess.
I recently moved to 16GB and now notice certain games are using a lot more RAM than they used to i.e. i nexcess of 7GB. The more you have the more (certain games) will use.

Page 3 was especially enlightening - negligible difference.
I keep trying to find a reason to upgrade from 8 to 16 but every time I check, I don't see enough reasons to do so. Even accounting for the photo, video, and audio editing my PC is also used for. Then again - I think I got decent RAM so that probably helps - Corsair Memory Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CAS 9 XMP

No game uses 32GB or can utilise 32GB, 64GB is even more nonsense if you're wanting the RAM for gaming. For professional tasks 64GB is or isn't enough depending on the workload. I have a workstation with 32GB RAM I can game on it easily obviously, no game I've seen or read about needs 32GB or anywhere near that yet. 16GB is good enough, anyway 32GB is cheap so you might feel what the heck I'll get it anyway.
Summary:
You don't need 32GB+ for gaming.

The C16 latency timing may be a bit disappointing (16-18-18-35 ) but it's hard to be disappointed, at that price, have some more heat!
Will this work with 2400mhz ram? That is from same make but only mhz is different

It's surprisingly easy to chew through that much RAM with some games, Photoshop, video work etc. My next upgrade is another 32gb to take me up to 64.

I'm using 2.1Gb with just two tabs open in Chrome after a fresh boot :confused:
If you want to open the Ashley Madison database to see if your boyfriend's been cheating on you then 16Gb is the minimum you need :smirk:

Jo444, I've seen my PC up to 13GB of usage, playing The Division with a few applications open in the background. An upgrade to 32GB is on my to do list.
I bought the 3000MHz version of this RAM about 6 weeks ago. £84 for 16GB.
