"This film was originally made under the names Valencia and The Cellar for Paramounts Insurge division(a subsidiary for films made for under 5 million dollars like The Devil Inside), and when Paramount closed it down, this movie(shot and completed) was thrown out to the wind and orphaned. Paramount bought it back up and had Dan Casey and Damien Chazelle do some re-writes so that it would connect to the Cloverfield universe and they went back and did reshoots and add-ons in March 2015 in New Orleans and L.A.
This is a cash grab by Paramount so that they could make some quick bucks off of this film"
That sounds about right, I enjoyed both films but there really isn't a connection between them. The way that they kind of tried to connect them didn't really work - the connection wasn't clear between the two and felt very out of step with the rest of the film.

Most of the above is garbage, spread by critics who have no clue.
The original screenplay was called The Cellar. The film was shot under the title Valencia, which was never planned to be the final title. The additional shots were for the associated ARG and of the mailbox at the end. The film was always intended to be the film it turned out to be, using the name to create a Cloverfield brand was just smart marketing.
The naming and Cloverfield tie-in was obviously a decision made with marketing in mind, but it didn't stop the movie from being enjoyable all the same. Frankly, without the more supernatural spin of the movie, it might have been a lot less intriguing.
And if you really want to be cynical like this, just about any big-name Hollywood movie is a 'cash grab', regardless of the origin of the project.

It does seem odd putting them together as they're not especially connected. You may as well put Rainman & Singing in the Rain in a box set....

10 Cloverfield Lane is a fantastic thriller, well worth picking up. Just be aware it's not the same style or even a prequel/sequel to Cloverfield.
89% fresh on rotten tomatoes too, great reviews.

No problems with Zoom. I've used them probably 20 times. All items are new/sealed. Zoom distribute Universal Pictures UK. Sorted a problem when I received a bashed up box. I usually check their website first when I want something. Can't speak highly enough tbh.
