Wow that is cheap!
I went back in February for the carnival and paid £460 (which I thought was quite cheap... until now)

Anyone know anywhere i can get a cheap hotel thats decent, Ive checked travelbot.net and the cheapest decent one was £400 for 3 weeks. the tickets are cheap but accomodations gonna be a problem... :disappointed: tried to change dates to 1 week went up by about £500 for the flight lol

I stayed in the Leblon All Suites. Leblon isn't a bad area either. It was OK, staff were miserable so if you want happy and cheery staff forgot it. For cheaper options try Botofogo as that isn't bad either. Avoid Lapa if you can, good for the day but not at night. Santa Teresa may have got better if the train is now working.
Price will SKYROCKET soon after, because Olympics.

Hope people got this before it appeared on the SF website. For a good side trip fly to the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls (you can easily get a bus/taxi between the Brazilian and Argentinian side). I used Gol airlines to fly cheaply and if you have Delta Skylines you can also use them with Aerolineas Argentina.

thanks didnt actually think of it that way  just had another look on travelbot.net and found one for 490 and its 3 star and looks quite good. Theres also quite a few hostels cheapest from 147. Dont think id be staying at a hostel though. ideal for students backpackers on a budget. :stuck_out_tongue:

Venere have a 15% code which may help. Check the area where the hotel is or book one with a free cancellation so if you find better you can cancel.

Great price, however my parents flew with this company recently. In flight entertainment is a TV way down the aisle, grumpy flight attendants, broken chair etc.

I have flown with Air Europa and Iberia to South America. Nothing can compare to those airlines, really bad. But it was cheap..... For me it's just about getting from A to B.
