This item is not on sale but essential if you are using your Oyster card and also have your credit/debit card with you, most times you will be charged twice even if you keep the 2 cards separate. And trying to get your money back from London Underground?, you have a better chance having a cup of tea on Neptune than getting your money back. Great reviews but only 3 reviews left.

these should be free to from the supplier of cards that carry this risk but like that would ever happen
am I wrong in thinking these are just sleeves for the cards to sit in thereby preventing their use when in one? this would obviously mean you would have to take the card out your Wallet or purse to use the card you want but if you do that without these blockers then you wouldn't have an issue anyway since you would only be holding one card to the contactless payment terminal? or am I missing something?
also if you would rather not spend £5 which is not a lot for the nice enough wallets tbh just grab some tinfoil and line the card slot of your purse or wallet and presto its now blocked

I have a Barclaycard payment device, Apple-pay, android pay, contact less debit card and Oyster card - I don't understand why a single journey cost so much!

99p for 10, if you're not in a hurry (from eBay, sent from the Far East).

Is it possible to somehow save the card details in your phone and use the NFC of your phone to pay?

It is possible.... Apple Pay is exactly that and I believe Android Pay is coming soon.

If you have a barclaycard then you can download the normal app to your phone which let's you pay with android NFC.
You need to login each time you reboot your phone before the contactless payments work.

£5 to prevent a non issue. The risk with contactless is that you scan your wallet on tfl, first scan reads one card, exit reads a different one. But if you remove card from wallet to scan this can't happen.
Skimming cards isn't a real risk. The info available is only the data that appears on the card - so without extra info is completely pointless.
If an unauthorised payment is made by contact less your bank refund. The time and call cost to claim this will be less than £5 and is so remote it doesn't really factor in
M and S are jumping on this because with a older customer base they realise they can make some money from people's reaction to new technology.

Plus, your typical M&S customer is also an iPhone user and thus more highly suggestible than your average consumer

kenneth131 raises a good point....what is the purpose of these?
Yeah, I saw the video of the guy on the train with a NFC reader skimming cards... You can get wallets that prevent it - my coat has an anti-RF pocket (coincidently I believe it was purchased from M&S!)

I know that's meant to be humorous but it's actually pretty easy to get refunds from them over the phone.

I no longer use an Oyster card eitehr, but isn't the down side that the only information you get is the amount charged on your bank statement, rather than the comprehensive journey history you get with an Oyster card?

I have the ones off eBay which work great and are so much cheaper. Everyone should put their contactless cards in them to avoid anyone fraudulently obtaining their information.

RE: Oyster cards, no point using them now, I have one of these, I get the same caps as the Oyster cards and don't have to top it up.
(I use the keyfob, but the sticker for the phone or wristband works the same.)

You can buy 5 sleeves for less than £2 from ebay if you really want it. The M&S branding doesn't make it any more effective.
