Just bought some stuff from Poundland as you do, and they give you a voucher along with your receipt for this meal deal. Up to a party of six so you could save ~£30-40. Cut and paste follows:
1. The code entitles the holder to purchase a main meal for £1 with every full priced main meal from our main restaurant menu, up to a maximum party size of 6, post 6pm only. Excludes Lunchtime Carvery, Breakfast, Our Chefs Counter, Buffet Place, Premier Inn Meal Deal and Daytime Value.
2. Cheapest main meals will be charged at £1.
3. The code must be presented at time of ordering and can only be used once
4. Offer is available from Monday 11 April until Sunday 1 May 2016, inclusive, post 6pm only
5. The code is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash and/or used with any other offer, promotion or voucher including the Whitbread privilege card. It can be used with Bonus Club points based vouchers but not celebratory offers
6. The code must not be reproduced, copied or varied and all rights (including copyright) will remain with Whitbread Group PLC. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw the offer at any time and without prior notice.
So I suppose you buy a carrier bag for 5p and ask for receipt ?

Never eaten there before. The prices look a lot higher than our local Sizzling Grill.
8oz rump at £11.99 compared to 10oz at £7.49! Are they really that upmarket?

that's because your sizzler pub uses zebu, brewers fayre uses locally sourced meats

The food at Brewers fayre shows with the prices, you pay cheap, you get cheap food or else how do they make a profit. The food here is definitely freezer food, do however like the dessert but how do you get a dodgy dessert, there's no such thing in my world!

I have hideous taste apparently as I love to go to our local Brewers Fayre, cheap and normally full of grannies

I personally think Brewer's Fayre food can be okay (both quality and value wise) - the Boston and Peterborough ones have always been okay in my limited experience, but the King's Lynn one is rancid both for quality and customer service.

I'll stick with the zebu then. Tastes great to me. What's so special about 'locally sourced meats'? Never have understood that argument.
