Heat, thanks for the explanation of how this works..

In theory, yes. I think the minimum is a quid. You need to go to shops that have the paypoint facility (I think) so may be worth having a look on Google to see if it states a minimum top up. It's been a couple of years since I've done it so it might have changed.

Is it definitely £1 in shops? So I could order 6 from amazon, top each up by £1, and get £30 PSN credit, thus getting Trackmania Turbo for £12?

i wonder at this too - as in how to actually use these credits on these cards?

depends on where you go. some places will be a quid minimum and some places 10p, i may be wrong but in the past i believe some EE stores have taken 10p top ups

What's the minimum top up you can do? And can you add say £5.10?

Can you use this to top up a psn account?
So £1=£5?
Could be good if so
Just bought one to try, will update when it's arrived and I've tried

You will need to top up as you get charged for the text which would take you below the £5.

When you send the text to Sony this will cost you 10p meaning you will only have 4.90 in the account and the transaction will fail
We buy a few of these and take them to europe, have worked fine in Spain , france, Ireland (southern) Germany Portugal, Italy etc. We get about 30 minutes out of them abroad so about 3p per minute - texts are even cheaper. Got 3 in my bag ready to go next week.

from the other thread:
Maybe not a deal as such but I just discovered how to use up unwanted PAYG SIM credit to pay for apps on Google Play. I believe the same method will work on IOS devices. This works on EE, O2 and Three. EE (Chitterchatter) often have PAYG SIM cards on eBay with £5 credit for a quid so this is a very cheap way to buy apps, music and movies.
I don't have an Apple device so I haven't tested it but O2 has a link to doing this http://www.o2.co.uk/chargetomobile
and I suspect that other providers will do it too.
1. (optional) remove your usual SIM from your phone and insert the SIM with the unwanted credit.
2. Start up your phone and turn on data (even if WiFi is on).
3. Open Google Play, go to My Account, Payment Methods, Add Payment Method, Mobile Billing.
4. Choose whatever paid-for app you want and make sure you select Mobile Billing as the payment method.
5. You can now stick your usual SIM back in your phone but you will still be able to charge apps to your SIM with the unwanted credit. The payment method also shows up in other devices such as tablets.
6. Once your credit has been used up, go to Google Wallet https://wallet.google.com/manage/w/0/#paymentMethods:
on your PC and remove the mobile billing facility for that SIM card.
7. Repeat as required!
looks like you can buy movies and music as well...not just apps.

They have these in store at Sainsbury's Belfast Holywood Exchange if that helps anyone. Not a great deal in so far as regularly available at this price/99p on eBay.

Strangely, the cheaper and less hassle deal from Amazon is somewhat chilly: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ee-pay-go-sim-card-with-5-credit-99p-free-delivery-ee-direct-via-amazon-2411091
