£120 per annum (£10 per month, 1 yr contract) less £30 Amazon/iTunes voucher less possible £40 Quidco is equivelant to £50 p.a or £4.17 per month for BT broadband customers. £5 per month more for non-BT broadband customers like me but I'm still tempted as in my area, giffgaff data speeds are hopeless, Vodafone coverage is poor and 3 tell lies

Yes, I've just had the Quidco cashback refused. Quidco CS said that 'the retailer (BT) cannot identify exactly which referrer you made your purchase through'.

I don't believe that the offer I posted above was on in May. In post #32 above, it looks like the deal had expired - that was 4 months and 6 days ago which by my reckoning is late April. Perhaps another voucher offer was available in May, but not the one in this thread.

me too been right up the tree at BT and they say the Amazon deal wasn't on in May so a screenshot would be great!! no wonder everybody hates BT!

I got my £30 Amazon vouchers and £35 Quidco just came through too - both on the 3GB deal. Not sure if I have any screenshots of the deal, but I will check.

I'm having the same issue. I'm really cross with them right now and sending nasty emails to them. Will keep you posted on my progress.

It says 2GB not 3GB? I'm missing something yes?

Looks like the 3GB/£30 Amazon voucher offer has expired and they've reverted to the normal 2GB for £10/£15 per month. These offers come up fairly regularly, so I'd advise waiting and watching.

My understanding is BT don't support tethering (so you can't ring them and ask for advice etc) but you can actually tether? My son has certainly tethered with his with no problems. Anyone else have any experience of this?

From what I've read, the T&C's specifically state that tethering is not allowed. I believe that BT disable tethering in iOS devices, but it is still possible to tether with Android devices, despite this. Some have suggested that BT would be within their rights to charge for tethering use at out of bundle rates which, if allowed and they did, could be very expensive.

I ended up going for it. Quidco £35 tracked immediately.

Just checked (as we have Plusnet broadband and a Plusnet landline) and as I expected, it doesn't qualify.

I click on the link and it seems to tell me that "You live in a home that has BT Broadband" - I have Plusnet fibre and use a BT Home Hub router, so I am kinda confused..

Although BT own Plusnet, I don't believe that qualifies you for the £5 lower rate. Where it says "You live in a home that has BT Broadband" , click on the "Not BT Broadband at home?" link to the right.

Does BT mobile use the "double speed" 4G that EE offer yet?

You pay extra for the double speed...at the moment 30mb is the best you'll get.

I thought so, a pity as BT are terrible for customer support and EE wasn't that bad when I used it.

Coverage is very much a function of geography. In my area and over my commute (east of Scotland) vodafone coverage is patchy but EE is good. Shame as I can get 20% discount on vodafone.

Just need to remind people BT mobile is not o2 in case anyone gets confused. Pretty sure it's EEs network.
hukdaardcdu to kester76
2 Apr 161#13
BT does use EE's netwrok and unlike giffgaff on O2's, my understanding is that they don't suffer a lower priority or speed. The price, data allowance, free wifi and use of EE's network are all positives for me, but the lack of tethering and out of allowance charges are downsides. And it's BT - had poor customer service experiences when we had our landline with them which was the main reason for moving - to a company which BT then bought ironically. Decisions, decisions ...

I had the full monty under EE which was a good deal for unlimited internet with tethering. Only problem was that for the whole of the contract I couldn't get a good signal in most places. Once the contract finished I got a lot better signal which could of been mast upgrades at the same time but seemed strange. o2 is pretty amazing as I get 4G in most places and signal is pretty strong.
I've had experience with BT support before and it's pretty dire, once Virgin broadband gets installed I'm jumping ship.

Downloading the BT Mobile App, gives your Allowances, Minutes Left, Text Sent and GB Left, up to 1 minute prior to checking. In addition, it shows how many days are left until Allowances are reset, any Extra Spend, what your Plan is and any Data Roaming Charges. These can be accessed anytime you wish to check your usages.
