No. Most people use it capitalised, for simplistic reasons. to differentiate between the first person pronoun and the number one. You will notice that the other first person pronouns: we, us, me etc are not capitalised. Also, it is derived from the Germanic "ich" which is not capitalised mid sentence in the German language. It just became accepted in its capitalised form in English. But then language evolves i suppose. Someday, most people will use "should of" instead of "should have". Hopefully, i won't be around by then.

Really? What 'equipment' would that be that Mamillan use then? Didn't know they treated cancer.
Nothing against MM, they do a brill service. Someone should tell them the design of their websites leave a lot to be desired with that bloody awful typeface.
As for cancer, one day it we cure it. Not with outdated treatments like chemo and radiotherapy. That's why, in the main, you are told that cancer patients 'survive', but not 'cured'. It's good to be reminded that you can also 'survive' a car crash. As for using 1920s equipment the first chemotherapy drug to be developed was mustine. (Yeah, mustard gas connection!) Since then, of course, many other drugs have been developed to treat cancer, and drug development has gone on to become a multibillion-dollar industry, although the principles and limitations of chemotherapy discovered by the early researchers still apply. Get it now?
Find a cure, and that multibillion-dollar pharma industry could collapse.

The tragedy is that so many English-speaking people in the UK are incapable of speaking and writing their own native language properly (not accepted in many other nations). Another tragedy is that there is no incentive to find a "cure" for cancer because - as has been highlighted here - a cure could kill of the multi-billion pound industry that bankrupts the NHS with its profiteering high prices

How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb?
1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

I'm not looking to cut out Kraft foods, just hopefully raising a few extra bob for charity. On your slightly off topic comment about Kraft I understand that former employees, I guess Cadbury's, will quite righly have been upset about the decision to sell the company to a corporate giant such as Kraft. This sadly won't influence the fate on some already produced chocolate eggs, which might otherwise end up in landfill.

So they are not in stock at the moment, and everyone is expected to phone stores throughout next week just in case they come into stock. How is this a deal at the moment, surely it should have been posted when stock was available or at least when you know for definite they will be available.
Incredible that once again a deal that is not currently a deal has achieved such heat
demodragon
23 Apr 161#99
First off heat added for the deal.
But please be aware its just the profit that goes to the charity not the £5. I think people should understand what deals like this really are and thats a promotion to get people in the shop where they recover if not make more profit from the promotion. What companies actually, i suspect in most cases, give to charities in terms of earnings are very little compared to the general public. So if your buying these specifically to make a donation your probably better off making a direct donation as already suggested, if not hey £5 chocolate.

Hmm, I wasn't suggesting these eggs were produced in 2009, when Cadbury eventually agreed an acceptable share price, following Kraft's initial hostile bid. They are clearly being sold now as a result of over-supply in the Easter market, and as such it is a crying shame this type of food waste occurs, especially if it ends up in landfill. There is no sense in ditching chocolate that just happens to be egg shaped, so yes I and I suspect more care about the landfill issue. You are equally wide of the mark on your guess about losing a job, more than that you are not required to know.

Chocolate whatever, it shows Kraft are producing Vegtable Fat/White processed Sugar bloated Yuck (in place of expensive Cocoa butter) that less and less people want to consume, which causes them to drop the price point (or weight) and quality even further, with the need to add more Veggie Fat rather than Cocoa Butter to meet that price point/weight reduction.

just reminded me, we had not done anything this month, as far as cash gifting goes!
Without the direct MM donations, the treatments would still be using 1920's equipment!
Excellent deal although, if I was'nt trying to lose a few pound i would buy 5 boxes
Great to see a charitable initiative gaining heat on here!
Ok i am done.
Great deal OP.
#irony :smirk:
People need to calm the hell down about "being offended". Are you REALLY offended, or do you just like claiming you are so you can appear to be the victim in life a bit more than you already think? (Rhetorical question)
This is a Hot UK Deal so very worthy of a posting on a site with this name, well done OP I'll be looking out for these (and if it is of any concern to anyone I will be using these very responsibly as occasional treats for the grandchildren and work colleagues)
Well done to Poundland as well for their charitable effort
Funny thing is though, almost every time someone jumps on there spelling high horse, its usually because someones disagreed with them and the person hasnt got any actual response!! so they play the spelling card, its tragic really.

Anyways i work at Ilford Exchange. Will check if they have stock
Single quote marks suffice, not double ones when identifying words above. Double look soooo awkward.

TO THIS:
Off.
Incredible that once again a deal that is not currently a deal has achieved such heat
If it isn't, still take a 'like'
There's something quite bizarre about the logic in this.
Dragline: Nobody can eat fifty eggs.
Society Red: You just said he could eat anything.
Dragline: Did you ever eat fifty eggs?
Luke: Nobody ever eat fifty eggs.
Prisoner: Hey, Babalugats. We got a bet here.
Dragline: My boy says he can eat fifty eggs, he can eat fifty eggs.
Its not a deal for choclate eggs
Its a gateway to discussions on spelling/psychology/grammer/political issues/health issues/world issues/how will the choclate egg have an effect on the next american president?/
So for me heat , thanks OP.
£5 for 48 mini eggs

There were 3 boxes left but hidden behind a sign. There might have been another display though
