These are SUPERB .... I bought one a few years ago and haven't regretted it ..... can't remember how much I paid.
But, price is forgotten long before the quality.

3.6v struggles with larger screws but is happy with most flat pack stuff, might need a manual last few turns tho.

That's most odd ..... I have never needed to go manual - these have a LOT of torque ..... you do know that the voltage is no indication of torque, don't you?

Yes. These are no substitute for a full power electric screwdriver. My full size Bosch will strip threads, this doesn't even get close.

This screws in screws ..... it doesn't strip threads .... I suggest you return yours for a full refund as it's not a screwdriver but a drill by the sounds of it, are you getting your tools confused?

You are aware that cordless drills often come with screwdriver settings yeah?
Trust me I'm not the tool that's confused....

I don't see stripping threads as being a benefit...

It doesn't if set correctly to but it can - I prefer my tools to be up to the job rather than wheezing their way through them...

This drivers pretty awful imo the one speed annoys me as there is no ability to start slow because it's trigger is on or off and not at all variable. So zero room for error. I would rather use a smallish drill and have far more control. Just my opinion though this might be good for someone so I've not voted as the price is rather here nor there

Waste of time. Better off spending around this for a 10.8v combi when Lidl or Aldi do one next. The last Lidl one had a myriad of features (fast charger, work light, battery indicator, interchangeable chuck, case etc) and is also a drill.

Cheaper at Homebase
£23.97 with their new owner they wont be beaten on price.
I am a total DIY newbie and need something to put up blinds, shelves, hooks. Will this do? I looked at drills but saw somewhere it being mentioned that drills can be overkill for newbies like me?
