Id say these things are pretty pointless all they do is slightly increase the volume of the built in poor quality speakers. If you want better sound a cheapish bluetooth speaker makes more sense

Alternatively place your iPod etc. in a plastic bowl and it also amplifies the music
Just need two for stereo...
