Saw this b&d foldable workbench on offer half price at homebase. Not seen it cheaper elsewhere and seems to have decent reviews. Also opportunity for double nectar points.

This isn't such a good deal, Amazon are selling it for the same price, delivered. Furthermore reading the Amazon comments it doesn't seem a very robust at all.

This really is the normal price, just gets put back up occasionally to claim the discount, thoroughly recommended though.
I used one of the simpler just crossed leg ones for 20 years, the original Black and Decker one that all the cheapies are copied from. Got one of these on a whim a couple of years ago and kicked myself for not getting one sooner. The extra stability when sawing etc and the proper footstep make it so much more comfortable to use.
If you're one of those people who just use one to put a paint pot on stock with the cheaper simpler version, if you want use it for anything else spend the little extra.

The 536 model is a lot stronger. Also the 301 for £7.50 wasn't available in all Tesco stores.

Why is this HOT, when you can get a slightly inferior one for £7.50 in Tescos?

i used to buy the £10 shop specials and they often broke within a year or so. Got one of these last time it was on offer and got to say they are a lot more substantial. Not worth the RRP though.
