Acer has had 27" 1080p monitors available for sub £120 a few times though they don't have speakers.
It's not a bad price if you want something with speakers, though I found report that the input lag is poor so maybe not ideal for gaming.
Thinking of moving up to a 27, my eyesight isn't what it used to be

Last time I was looking for a gaming monitor less than 5ms was the thing to aim for gaming to prevent lag. Perhaps there are faster these days? Seems good to me but what do I know.
