I'm not sure I'd want to balance a boiling hot coffee, on a 99p aluminium mount, on a cycle

Once saw a chap cycling in the rain and carrying an umbrella. The umbrella was to keep the rain off the book that he was reading.

people just have to have 'a pop'. No more posts from me. Thought I was being helpful

You were helpful to me.
I've been meaning to get one of these for a while but (like many posters on here) a bit cynical about how useful it would be so never got around to spending £8 to find out. For 99p it's worth a go - if it doesn't work I haven't lost anything.
Ignore the doubters - your deal got voted hot by the silent majority.

Aww bless - you do know this is the internet right? There will always be at least one person to make a smart **** comment - and many interpretations of whatever is posted. Water off a duck's back and all...

That would be me. Chin up, there was no "pop" intended. Just a bit of fun at the improbability of a cup holder on a bike.

Well no wonder I'm confused, maybe amend the description to a water bottle holder rather than a coffee cup holder ? Sorry I voted cold because it was described as a coffee cup holder, if it fits water bottles I actually wouldn't mind one :smirk:

Its not intended for hot drinks. Just a bottle of cool water

A water bottle holder would be useful, but I don't drink coffee so maybe I'm just not seeing the appeal of this , or indeed cycling along with any hot drink bouncing around in a cup  not for me, but hotness of 154 means people are obviously seeing some use that I don't.

You could always get a screw top thermal mug and pour your free waitrose coffee into it.
My problem is that Waitrose is at the very end of my cycle commute. So pointless really.

I have one of these and it works beautifully. Unless you are cycling on something as smooth as a table cloth though you will get coffee everywhere if your lid has an opening like normal ones do...
