Backlight bleed is super common in ips monitors and its almost unavoidable. I paid £255 for it and i still think its good for the price.

i bought this monitor when ebay had 20% off, very nice screen for doing anything with a white screen, useless for watching movies as black light bleed is ridiculous.

I completely agree! all 4 corners of my screen were yellow in low light, dark movies or games... I sent mine back for a refund... definitely not fit for my purpose.

Received mine this morning, loving it so far. Stunning picture, makes 1080p look horrible in comparison. Only annoying thing is my main PC only has HDMI 1.4 and no displayport, so stuck with jerky 30 Hz, but newer laptop with displayport gives silky 60 Hz

Bought this monitor from Scan's eBay account couple of weeks back. I have no power issues at all. Monitor turns on every time I connect my macbook pro or windows laptop using Display port cable. It's quite astonishing how much more desktop space 4k gives you. I'm now giving up two monitor set up as I think this gives me quite enough room for all tools I need for work and leisure. OSX works seamlessly with [email protected] resolution but Windows 7 is a bit annoying. I need to change text enlarging options in control panel every time and my HP laptop seems to output 4k only at 30hz

Yup, Asus I'd consider, Acer I wouldn't!

Is this another one of those "frameless" "zero frame" "no frame" "minus frame" monitors that still has a frame.
Enough of this marketing bs.

It's not marketing. It just means the panel isn't enclosed inside a bezelled 'frame' - it means the 'border' sits plush with the screen itself.

nearly bought this (again) but the lack of VESA is too annoying.
any suggestions on a similar screen? 4k around this money? thanks, I was looking at NGR:IT a dell screen.

Me and many others have had power issues with this monitor where it refuses to turn on and needs to power cycle multiple times to turn on. If you look at the reviews on Amazon you'll see similar issues about the power on this monitor.
Just be aware, if you're looking for a flawless experience you might not get it.

Yes, shame about the absence of a VESA mount. Otherwise nice spec.

The £320 on Amazon is from Scan themselves, next retailer down has for £450 (amazon.co.uk).. going all the way up to £1,603.00 + £19.00 UK delivery (some retailer in Germany)

I have the last gen version. whilst I was looking to upgrade to this before, the fact they've moved the connections from the base to behind the panel above the stand doesn't look right. can anyone confirm if the panel of the stand behind can come off for the connections to flow down?

I looked at reviews and the picture is meant to be excellent, it is missing usbs and VESA mount but that wouldnt put me off, i have usbs on top of my case and itll just sit on my desk so i dont need to worry about mounting or swiveling it... im going to torment myself over this today :disappointed:

I've been looking a 4k screens for a while now and this looks good, main thing i noticed is the 4ms response time which is very good for an IPS... i have the money for one but should I?! decisions decisions!

To start with, there is no VESA mount, so you're stuck with the stand it comes with.

No they don't. Amazon has it at about £320 incl p&p.
But the reviews aren't exactly world-class, the monitor seems to have it's share of problems.
