Yes, and the bottles sold in the UK are brewed by Shepherd Neame in Kent Link.

A lot of chat, has anyone spotted this anywhere nationally?
Would be a good price to stock up for the incoming BBQ season.

The 660ml bottles of San Miguel at £1.25 in Asda work out cheaper per litre, so you might as well buy these unless you have a special reason to avoid them. Or if you're okay win cans, the 18 packs of Kronenbourg at 2 for £20.00 in Tesco work out really cheap.

Yup, I bought loads from Asda Crawley a couple of days ago.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of Shepherd Neame at all but this isn't bad. It's not a patch on the real thing but it's not bad for a £1.

I bought a bunch of Japanese lagers from Tesco when they had an offer on a while back and Sapporo was my favourite by a mile too. There were 3 bottles on the shelf in Chorley, but they're not there any more!

Asasi Black is the real thing in the UK, but doubt its on this deal. My local Sainsburys and Tescos have both stopped selling it though... sniff...

Precisely. The Sam Adams' beers state they're American but they're brewed on contract in this country (also by Shepherd Naeme I believe). So about as American as as Bishop's Finger is.
Having said that Asahi from the supermarket is not bad. It's certainly a lot better than Stella for example.

My pet beer hate is beers from a country brewed under licsence in the UK.Does Britain have a world class lager? My vote is Schiehallion from Harviestoun brewery gets my vote.

Always find SNeame beers a bit disappointing. Look at the bottles of generic supermarket ales and they look very SN and are poor. They do an IPA colonels choice 6.1% which is ok but the range is fairly poor tbh.

A nice sharp refreshing lager. Second only to Peroni in my book. I find this gives me a banging headache the next day though.

Yep. This will the brewed in the UK version at this price.
Meh.
(I preferred Sapporo in Japan myself ... although you HAD to drink local really. Imported stuff was CRAZY expensive. £15 for a pint of Hoegaarden is the one that sticks in my head. )

Decent, but it's much nicer in Japan. It's just not the same.
