Lovely large pots of herbs, on the plant of the week table at Chelmsford store. Similar pots are around £4-£5 in our garden centre , so a real bargain.

I got a small mint pot about a month ago from Morrisons. Keep it indoors and it's still going strong. Great for making fresh mint tea. The leaves do curl a little bit, so maybe I am over watering it.

The old lady who looks after the flowers at the Chelmsford Morrisons is lovely, it always looks so nice.

heat op  Agree with comments regarding Morrison's plants being the better ones of the supermarkets, never had a bad plant from them  However, was in ASDA late evening & my daughter saw a patio plant in a watering can reduced to 4p - challenge accepted!!! 24hrs in water & full of life

Thanks for this OP. I agree with the above that Morrisons plants are usually really good. The big difference at my local store seems to be that they keep them outside! My local tesco, sainsburys and asda all keep their plants and bulbs etc in the store and they end up looking very sad very quickly.

Bought a Thyme plant from Morrisons Sheldon today, loads on the shelf and definitely not dead looking. The plant probably will look dead now i have one. Hot from me.

Heat for the price even if supermarket plants are usually dead looking or really dry and thirsty

Morrisons have a really good supplier I think, I've been buying plants from them for a couple of years and they have all been really good prices . They come in new each week and don't sit around for long , my local store doesn't seem to buy too many in at a time, so the turnaround is fairly rapid, Never had a problem with dried out plants and rarely see anything looking less than 100% healthy.
Rare exception to that is when they have the large terracotta/pottery planters which if they don't sell can look a bit sad, but they get reduced to clear very quickly, and quite often have bulbs etc in which given the right care will be fine anyway.
I know what you mean though , I looked at the plants in Asda a few weeks back and they looked very poorly. Mind you they were on a big metal display outside, and I can only guess they got pulled in at night, so it could be that they couldn't cope with the constant change in temperature. I guess a certain amount depends on if the store has someone looking after the plant section that knows the basics.
