£4.09 AmazonBasics Apple Certified Lightning to USB Cable - 0.9 m (3 ft). £5.791.8 m (6 ft)- Black and [email protected]
Apple MFi certified charging and syncing cable for your Apple devices
Apple MFi certification ensures complete charge and sync compatibility with iPhone 6 Plus / 6 / 5s / 5c / 5 / iPad Air / iPad mini / mini 2 / iPad 4th generation and iPod nano 7th generation
Connects to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with Lightning connector and charges/syncs by connecting the USB connector into your wall charger or computer
Compact Lightning connector head works with nearly all cases
An additional layer of protection has been added to the Lightning and USB ends to improve durability and reduce fraying; cables have been tested to bend 95-degrees 4,000 times
Backed by an AmazonBasics 1-year limited warranty
Apple's own cables in recent years are utter garbage though. I went through at least 3 for my iPhone 5, sisters gone through 4 yet my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 cable's are going strong.

IAnd there was me just thinking you were bonkers! Thanks for the updated links. This is an interesting deal, not sure if anyone is ordering the ops deal but plenty of useful links to other cables in it..

Sorry wrong link, that link was from when I searched it. I actually got ordered one of the black cables and it has proven reliable so far. That is it charges as fast as the original and the charger switches it self off when fully charged. I also ordered the braided cable. Any problems just return it to instore. Comes with 3 year warranty so speaks for itself. I will never buy lighting cables from pound land or eBay again from my own experiences slow charge and extremely hot chargers afterwards = fire risk.
I used to work at an apple store, people go through cables so much because they use them wrong, always yank it out holding onto the wire instead of the plastic bit, or using it while charging and placing the bottom down putting strain on. I usually upgrade every 2 years on average and only ever need the cable that comes with the phone

Apple certified, but still for charge and sync only, i.e. not full functionality. :disappointed:

What else would you need it for besides charging and syncing?? I know some people who use the longer one as a skipping rope but I wouldn't recommend it.

I've had three of these for years. And on the handful of occasions they have broken (like they all do - they aren't made of Kevlar), Amazon's customer service team have despatched a brand new one, free of charge, no quibble, within 24 hours.

Yea 's cables with maximum about 3 month use for me as well. They r just Garbage. The Amazon cable I have used 9months so far still perfectly working.

The Apple ones, we have gone through about 6 - 8 in 24 months all of them i have claimed on the warranty though, but its shocking, the ones from poundland are a better investment, you might only get 2-3 months out of them but they are £1.00 a go..

I've had one of these since September 2015 in my car.
It charges my phone and plays music from my iPhone at the same time no problem . Definitely worth the price .

Apple's cables actually have bad quality. They can't stand for months.

I agree, mine is held together with duct tape after 3 month use, and before anyone says that it probably isn't genuine, it is the lightning cable which came supplied with a brand new and sealed iphone 6.
Amazon have a good replacement policy on these cables but like others, prefer the Anker braided cables

Thanks, good looking cable, just ordered the 1m for £5.99 but still suspect I'll be putting their lifetime guarantee to the test.

Isn't that sale thing with the 0.01 dollar cables at anker supposed to be on this evening or are we predicting a site crash wild goose fest?

I have them. They aren't as stable as the original apple cables. The usb end gets loose. Anker cables are good.

Tbh, these cables along with the Official Apple ones are not that great quality at all. They do not last every long at all. If you want one to last even longer go for something like these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B015PD9HEQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_Qt4.wbY5D1KH5 I always buy these as it harder for the cable to come away from plug due to the material of the cable. They are really good quality

I've had this cable 2 months now and going well so far. Why can't any manufacturers make apple cables that last though? I haven't heard owners of other phones having to replace chargers so often?

Other phones use standard cables, even if they break (they virtually never do) you can get them for peanuts from anywhere

Good deal, and voted hot, but I personally prefer the Anker ones, for about £1 more...
[Apple MFI Certified] Anker Lightning to USB Cable 3ft / 0.9m High-Lifespan Cable with Compact Connector Head for iPhone 6s / 6splus / 6 / 6 Plus / SE / 5s / 5c / 5, iPad / Air / Air2 / mini / mini2 / mini3, iPad 4th gen, iPod touch 5th gen, and iPod nano 7th gen (White)
I went through 2 real apple ones, 3 eBay "Apple" ones, 3 amazon ones, 2 from pound land and then bought the expensive genuine belkin ones- fingers crossed they are all still working 6-8 months later.

Amazon basics aren't that great - the cable comes away from the plug. I've gone through three of them - they lasted 6 months on average (daily usage). The main advantage over the apple ones is you can get the longer length cables.

I have bought this cable and have found it is better quality than the original cable and charges the phone at the exact same rate, rather than taking twice as long like some other cables:
