The CB280HYK display is designed for realistic visual performance. Programmers, writers, graphic designers or anyone who uses a monitor daily will appreciate the Acer CB280HK's high-end visual performance, enhanced usability and ergo design, in 4K2K UltraHD resolution. The multi function ErgoStand has tilt, swivel and height adjustment to ensure a good viewing experience from any angle.
That said, I will continue to wait patiently for a 27" 4K IPS screen to be around this price.

False.
DisplayPort 1.3 supports 4K @ 120 Hz, 5K @ 60 Hz, and 8K @ 30 Hz.

30Hz is common for cheap 4k monitors

Technically you can via DP 1.3, but good luck finding a monitor that can do 4k 120 hz at the moment!

Display point 1.4 adds 10bit colour and HDR.
But the point is you aren't buying or using either!

Nice price. If you want a bit bigger, I paid a little more than that for a refurbished AOC U2868PQU (28" 4k TN).
I was sceptical that it was officially refurbished as claimed, but when I had a problem, it was AOC that replaced it for me.
Still; been spoilt by my BDM4065UC (40" 4k), so after working through the night on that, when I came in to work my two AOC 28" monitors felt rather small!

Good price, but 24" is too small to appreciate 4k.

So annoying you lose 240 pixels vertically on the 4k 24" monitors, wish they would go back to 16:10 like the original 24"

Agreed, 16:10 seems to suit 24" screens. I'm fine with 16:9 on 27"+ though.

But at 27" you need 5k to run a nice 2x retina mode, and those are too expensive and need certain GPUs to run.

I do use a 5k 27" for design work... then 50" 4K for gaming :sunglasses:

Nearest price is Saverstore at ~£270.
Scan have pulled it from their site and won't sell it over the phone.
Probably an incorrect price?

I have owned this monitor now for 3 months, having purchased it from Scan then and posted a deal when it was available to purchase (http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/acer-cb240hyk-pro-4k2k-uhd-ips-24inch-monitor-4-79-11-50-delivery-scan-2360094).
I can give it my recommendation. The colours are crisp and vibrant, the response time does not hamper my gaming needs and I appreciate the high resolution for photo and video editing. I do agree that in an ideal world I would have preferred a slightly larger screen, 27" or 28" would suit the resolution better certainly, however for this price the quality is excellent.
I would be happy to answer any questions on this monitor as objectively as I can if people reply to this comment
