This is why I hate HotUkDeals now, this dominos post isn't for you to take out your life's frustrations, or for you to find any reason to bitch.. It's for people who are interested in ordering Domino's and want a good voucher..

If you can't afford Domino's at 50% off, you should probably be doing something more productive than crying on HotUkDeals, like finding a better a job.

Find a better job, what's finding a better job got to do with spending £19 on a pizza you melt?

Have a good job thanks, even if I was richard branson i wouldn't be parting with £18.99 for a pizza.when i could make a much better one for under £5 with fresher ingredients. guarantee you're in Uni and haven't done a hard days graft in your life or live with mum and dad.

You'll find wealthy people don't overspend on basic stuff unless they are trying to show off on instagram or just a bit thick...and don't want to stay wealthy.

You are right up to the job thing, you make it sound like it is easy for someone on minimum wage to suddenly go out and get a better job. I am fortunately not in that position but don't be so naive that better jobs are available especially in a time of cut backs. It just makes you sound like a conservative douche who thinks the only reason the poor aren't rich is because they don't want it enough.

Everywhere that sells food puts a similar markup on their products. Those bottles of Tropicana that sell for roughly £2 cost stores less than 30p to buy but obviously none of this factors in the overheads associated with delivering, storing & selling the final product.

NO! Who are you people to tell someone to shut up? This is a public forum and this poster is entitled to make their comment. You don't have to like it, and you can argue why it isn't useful, but you've no right to try and stifle them. All they were saying is that they thought with 50% off it wasn't a good deal, and that you could make a better one at home. You told them to shut up for that? Pathetic. Also, if the people who created this site only wanted posts from contributors, then they could do so and change the policy, clearly that is not what they want. So I suggest you learn to accept it when non-contributors, such as myself, post comments you don't like.

Oh and just to pick up on your comment about there is always one complaining (I wont use your term) that it isn't a deal. I would hope so, or what's the point of the site?? Every deal is a good one??

You're right I was being sanctimonious in a moment of anger. I'm not a mod or owner of this site, it is up to them to decide if someone can tell other users "Ohh shut up for Christ's sake" because they thought a pizza deal wasn't good and that you could get better value in another way. However, I still think its abhorrent and dislike seeing it.

I think there is a clear common sense difference between telling someone to not prevent others airing their views, to actually preventing others from airing the views. As to how that falls in free speech, well that's a debate that could go on for a long time. Can free speech actually be the impingement of others free speech? Chicken and Egg time.

Your sarcasm over capitalisation, your decision to argue over free speech, your decision to make the point that it wasn't 'you' that decided to tell the other person to shut up, even though you "Couldn't agree more" with that poster, tells me all I need to know. You have no argument as to why it is a good thing to tell other posters to shut up so you decided to make about something else. So, you couldn't agree more? Expand on that, why is it a good thing to tell posters that criticise deals, to shut up?

Here it is. Simply. Because i too can dissect posts. But let's be honest it is boring.

If you don't like it. Fine. Vote cold and move on. That's why the powers that be have a voting system.

It's very simple. If you don't think it is a deal that's your right but show how it isn't a deal. Show a similar product that is cheaper.

Make a positive contribution.

Posters are spending their time and are often met by negativity. Why bother then sharing anything?

I can now say I am done with you. Dissect away at this post too, I don't care. Enjoy your pizza.

Public forums are all like this now. No wonder this country is going down the pizza pan and **** so fast. The vitriol is everywhere, just like the puke in the streets. Come on, a bit of civilised rapport is all that is needed ...nah, it's too late, now gone beyond the no return point. So glad I can remember when it wasn't like this. Still, don't worry, the future is bleak. Didn't used to be like this. Once upon a time you got a coke in a bottle out of a machine, and you were quite contented to down just the one, and then get a penny returning the glass bottle. Today? 2 f. litres is downed at one go after a meal of pap and plastic meat and spineless things that used to be called chips and everyone wonders wtf they are getting fat!
Still, it is funny for those of us who have long memories, and the only one who was getting fat was Mama Cass!

Since this offer does not appear on the Domino site or their Facebook page (as far as I can see) just wondered where it originated from - there appear to be specific dates (18-24 April) and details in the offer including stating collection only and no minimum spend - but does not say how to actually get the 50% off - the only codes doing the rounds on the HUKD vouchers are for minimum spends etc which this deal states this is no minimum spend - please could vodka_hound (since it's their post) or anyone who knows what the actual code is that works specifically for this offer. I have seen some posters have stated they are having trouble with codes (assume they are using from the voucher page) and am sure they would appreciate it being answered. Perhaps adding it to the initial post would be beneficial.

I'm sure it will help a lot of people who want to use it - thank you

Very disappointing, was looking forward to 50% off everything at Dominos but like others I haven't been able to get any of the codes to work :disappointed:

Alternatively you can get 35% off orders over £30 with the code VCODEAPR - I think it's national  Reduces the price of pizza, sides (worked on 21 box of chicken wings but not 21 box of chicken strippers), dips, and desserts. Does not reduce ice-cream or drinks.

A lot of people voted in anticipation of the deal going live on the 18th - half price is a pretty good saving if you do want to buy from them.

I can see why people would vote hit at 50% off - even if you wouldn't normally pay full price at half price you may consider it - and if you do normally buy from them then you would see it as a saving.

Now all we need to know is the actual code or whatever is needed for it to work (no minimum spend as posted).

There is no deal here so I've spammed it. If someone has a deal that actually works perhaps they can start a new thread.

We appreciate you posting that but where does it say that the deal is national? The text explicitly says it's for the Consett store in County Durham

Thanks for the reply much appreciated - just been onto the Domino Pizza Consett Facebook page and from there I can see it does say it's participating stores only - so if I was to click on Consett on their website page I can order from there and see the offer - my local store does not show the offer so obviously does not apply to them - best way for people to check is to look on Dominoes pizza site under deals if it's there in their they can do it:

DEAL ALERT- 50% OFF!
There’s 50% OFF EVERYTHING* this week when you collect your order in-store! Enjoy!
Order here: http://www.dominos.co.uk
*Collection only. Not valid with any other offer. One drink and/or Ice Cream per customer. Available at participating stores only.
Fairyfeet1964
18 Apr 16 #139
The details can be found on https://www.facebook.com/DominosConsett/?fref=nf it is participating stores only that's not to say it won't be available at other stores.

Well I promised my belly Dominos tonight so I'm stuffed. Now I'll have to spend half the night driving around finding cheap pizza.
Out of all franchised operations, Dominos vary the most with their offers. Some have £5.99 pizzas all day, some have BOGOFs all the time. I've even got 2 for the price of half once. But in my reasonably well-off suburb, I'm lucky if I get 30% off sometimes.

Try VCODEAPR on the website and you might get 35% off  Not as good as 50% but saves you the drive.

My apologies for post #138 only hit reply button and typed my message it appears to have repeatedly requoted things no idea why :laughing: was going to edit it but could make it worse ...

Guess that explains why it went off for moderation before it was posted - they must think I'm bonkers!

I see HotUkDeals has turned into a site to establish if Dave from Brighton does not like Dominos Pizza and Becca from Essex prefers frozen pizza. Marvellous
Also, OP - remove EVERYTHING from title.

Thank goodness the powers that be in this site have designed an ignore button so trolls like you can be put back under their bridge. Please feel free to ignore me too. I won't see your reply but I will be safe in the knowledge that you're safe under said bridge.

Well doesnt work for me, was trying to see if I could get two pizzas for 25% but alas no..

VCODEAPR was going to work, BUT was going to take the two for tuesdays deal off and would have paid more..so..rather than pay £20 for pizza, probably going to nip down the supermarket now!

19 Apr 16 #151
If you think 50% off a pizza at £16 is a bargain, then carry on buying them. I'll stick to deals on here that don't take the pizza out of me. Bargain my backside for an overpriced lump of dough.

Long story short - See posts 138 & 139

We know the orginal deal was available in the Consett area - it does say in partipating areas only - so you have to check out your own local Dominos to see what they have on offer - it should tell you on the Dominos website under your local store under deals.

This was what was on the -
Domino Pizza Consett Facebook page:

Hope that explains it ok

It was available in one specific store as a local special offer. I'm not sure why it's allowed on here with the current heading as the deal just doesn't exist for anyone else.

I just walked in and showed them this offer in Preston and they knocked 50% off. They didn't have a clue about it though. The 50% off was off full price so a large pizza and two garlic breads came to £9.50

Bully. Lol. Typical of society today. Everyone's a victim. You're right though. I hope next time someone points out the negativity that is rife in this site that some other leech pops out from beneath their bridge to put me back in my spot. Get a life.

And hopefully you never actually experience a bully and this is as far as an example goes in your otherwise overly sensitive life.

Now leave me alone I feel like you are bullying me

What is it guys like you don't understand? We all know that you can get cheaper pizza and the Dominos is expensive. But some of us like Dominos and this is a good deal for us. I don't eat pizza often but Dominos is the best imo so I go there if I do ever have one. Move along if you aren't interested....

22 Apr 16 #167
Just for information as I go dominos fairly frequently as in college if your collecting you can always pick up pizza last fairly inexpensive (ie a large pizza with one topping is a fiver and a medium for £4) with those offers you can also add toppings for £1.20 to a large usually a grab a large and a couple toppings for only £6.20 and that's a lunch time deal (before 4pm) hope this helps someone!
