A good tip for when pics are like that, is to type the item name and the shop its from, into google images, and then normally you can get the same picture from there... that's what I do anyway.... :smiley:
Start with a few flavour variants within a batch of cornbread muffins, I would also recommend you use a good quality sea-salt, forget the maldons (big hard pyramid crystals) ..pick up some "original" cornish sea salt company flakes (they are light in flavour & crush well, ..synapse popping foodie ingredient (& i'm not one for salt, however this stuff is delicious).
Recipe is simple, standard ingredients nothing to run amok, no desperate searches for anything, hardest item to locate is butter milk & many places sell that these days.
As with any properly made bread best to crowd round the oven & eat it as it cools, whilst steaming, fragrant & as fresh as can be.

This isn't really normal (USA style cornbread) . It is a wheat bread with corn. Normal cornbread is like a sponge cake made with cornflour, but not the white (uk) cornflour you use to thicken a sauce, it's a yellow cornflour that isn't ground as fine as white cornflour. This bread from Iceland is quite nice, but I believe this is the regular price.

I posted because I got it for a £1 but the offer has expired looked for this for a long time so thought it worth a post as others may be looking for it, I agree it is slightly denser but the taste is divine and £1.25 is a good price for a large premium cob

Most restaurant cornbread over here is awful. I'm certainly going to give it a try.

wheat flour and water are main ingredients lol, its like 4% corn, this isn't corn bread in the slightest, its a white loaf with few cornflakes sprinkled on top

@miles136
well there must be several thousand fresh green tomatoes every day at that market except sun - seems to me its the commonest veg/fruit there
i havent the faintest idea what dishes they are for in uk
i guess its look in a cookbook time
