Not for me personally but if someone is planning to join Sky and planning to subscribe to their "Complete Bundle" Package (includes Sky Sports, Sky Movies and Sky Box sets) anyway then get all for £30 per month for 12 months, can haggle when your contract is up.
Ends on 28th of April so be quick if you want a code.
You just can't make sense of this site. Effectively the same deal in store at Curry's yet that goes artic cold.

£1000/yr for Sky is a joke in the age of on-demand TV.

20 Apr 161#31
They are having a bit of a laugh calling that complete. Most people will add £17.40 a month for line rental and you can have either free unlimited ADSL or 25GB cap 38MB Fibre. Another £10 is then needed for the unlimited 38MB fibre most people would actually want.
It is then a further £23.99 a month for HD BT Sports, plus £30 activation fee, clearly not necessary, but if you are buying the Sky package for football BT now has a lot of what you will want. The package includes a box for one room and the fairly good value option of £5 a month for another room. So for two rooms, all the sport and decent internet you are already looking at over £80 a month
After the introductory period the Broadband goes up £10 as well as the £50 on the package of TV and multiroom goes up by £7. That makes around £150 a month, yikes.
Zuulan
20 Apr 16#32
Don't worry, Sky will soon increased the £30 p/m price within the 12 months and there's nothing you can do about it.
I agreed to the £6 p/m deal to go on the family package but after 3 months they increased it and said they didn't agree it was £6 for the full term, but in fact I was on a half price plan and that meant by plan cost increased with their usual price increase.

20 Apr 16#34
Pretty chilly to be honest. For £30 PM I would want phone line and broadband in there too, which it doesn't look like this has?
Also doesn't say if you get a free gift either, considering Sky have been giving away TVs, laptops, tablets and £100+ vouchers, this deal seems pretty 'meh' unless there is something I'm missing?
Would genuinely love to know of a better Sky deal as I'm considering switching from VM in the next month when my contract is up but it would take something MUCH better than this I'm afraid.....
qtweeder
20 Apr 161#35
at the link below, under "quick questions" (near the bottom)
it does specifically say: "Sky has told us it won't be increasing the cost of the TV package during your 12mth contract."
I don't use Kodi but do watch most of my TV and films via a combination of Now TV, Amazon Prime & Plex, which I am more than happy with. Trouble is to get the best value you often have to take triple play services (TV, Phone, BB). If I could get phone and BB (or even just BB and no phone and use mobile) for a good price I'd have that but usually it works out literally a couple pound pm more for a basic TV service too or sometimes (bizarrely) even cheaper with the TV than without. At least that's my experience with VM....
souljacker to mcormack
20 Apr 16#38
You really can't compare kodi to the actual sky package with the box.
I got rid of sky years ago and went over to a dreambox and recently an open box, both very good and with an epg similar to sky.
Kodi is good, but it's a lot of messing getting links, finding programmes etc, yes you'll save yourself a fortune it's nothing like having sky
julieallen to mcormack
21 Apr 16#52
Decent android boxes come free?
Is the constant buffering and no streams found included in the price?
If you want to go down the pirate route get a box, even something cheap like an openbox and pay about £15 a year for everything, and it actually works.
Why someone always says get kodi instead on these deals is beyond me.

I doubt people would get a price increase if they sign up for this deal, as it would be a breach of contract . If prices do rise, it would just increase from £80 to whatever the new monthly price becomes after the existing 12 month contract (Unless you give Sky 30 Days notice of intent to cancel the contract).
Happened to me with Virgin Media, although I saw a sharp increase in the amount they wanted from me after my initial 18 month discounted contract offer, where my monthly bill rocketed from £32 a month to £44 lol .

so the full bundle is TV only, I have had Sky for over 15 years, where I live my bb is only 1.6 mbs with fibre not showing as coming soon, so all the streaming services inc BT are not an option due to buffering etc. so Sky works for me, in most cases I call every year to cancel and get at least 35% off my bundle.

25 Apr 161#96
Right for anyone who has it already - I just spoke on chat and the lady sent me the link . I told her it recognised my address and she said type it in manually . After it has found your address , click it (your address in drop down box ) then click 'address not in list' or something like that , then type it in manually . This worked for me . My partners sky cancels on 31st May and mine is due to set up a couple days after  also , I got a £25 pre paid MasterCard . In addition , when you have clicked the link from the chat , go to quidco , go to sky then click tv , scroll down the packages , click complete bundle and it should come through with your offer price . I have £145 quidco tracked (I went for multi screen too) .

I'm pretty sure this stays the same price for the duration of the offer. It's only a limited time promotion afterall.
Bit like postage stamps I suppose. You can buy one a 64 pence one, which might equate first class today, whereas alternatively you could buy a "1st class" one day today which will remain first class for a while longer. Those on percentage reduced deals with Sky will no doubt see price hikes this summer.
My mate rejoined with their £25 all in retention TV deal and a couple of weeks later got a letter regarding price increaes in June. When he rang CS he was told this was simply generic system issued and to ignore it.
You could always email them your own t&c's when signing up stating that you enter the contract only on the understanding that it remains £25 for the full year. It's worked for others in the past. As terms and conditions to an agreement are not just a one way thing.

I just ordered as normal with an install date and then went on live chat and requested it be sent to me, but if you've gone for multi room and never had it you will still need an engineer vist.
Update on this, my order is now showing as an engineer visit after spending around 20 mins trying to get through on live chat the agent there told me I have to have an engineer visit and refused to believe I was promised the box would be sent out . After a long drawn out chat he then agreed to find the previous live chat and confirmed I had been "misinformed" about the self install ( I call it lied to get a sale)

Just had my visit, engineer provided DRX890WL-C box (500GB model), and also swapped the dish as our old one was rusty and tatty - they may not offer to do this in all cases, ours was easy to reach and I guess the engineer had a bit of time available.
500GB isn't going to stretch far with our content appetite so an upgrade will be arranged sharpish before The Boss queues up a load of series.

Good shout about the future billing, hadn't seen that.
Update: Sky customer services said it was a mistake from an automated mailout and "...your billing will be unaffected, your offer is a specific amount per month rather than a % so you will be paying the £30 per month for 12 months"

My £125 cashback was transferred into my bank account after messaging quidco support, they were helpful, any future cashbacks, i'll be going through quidco, not topcashback from now on. P.S my bill has remained at £30 a month, even though i got that price increase letter. Thanks OP

£1000/yr for Sky is a joke in the age of on-demand TV.
Thanks Though, OP. Hot!
Presumably the former, so could I get my GF to sign up as a new customer?
Although i'd give them a call and tell them what you want. They should honour the deal.
If so it would be even sweeter :-)
I'm guessing it only applies to certain packages
Bye Sky broadband... the last day of May 30 days notice haha
all packages are having price increase this June, except the variety package I believe.

I just signed up and can cancel yet but i got the full tv bundle excluding sports (dont watch sports anyway) line rental, sky talk pay as you go, sky fibre broadband unlimited for 43.50 a month for 12 months, 25pound tesco voucher but a 30pound one off installation
I agreed to the £6 p/m deal to go on the family package but after 3 months they increased it and said they didn't agree it was £6 for the full term, but in fact I was on a half price plan and that meant by plan cost increased with their usual price increase.
Also doesn't say if you get a free gift either, considering Sky have been giving away TVs, laptops, tablets and £100+ vouchers, this deal seems pretty 'meh' unless there is something I'm missing?
Would genuinely love to know of a better Sky deal as I'm considering switching from VM in the next month when my contract is up but it would take something MUCH better than this I'm afraid.....
it does specifically say: "Sky has told us it won't be increasing the cost of the TV package during your 12mth contract."

I got rid of sky years ago and went over to a dreambox and recently an open box, both very good and with an epg similar to sky.
Kodi is good, but it's a lot of messing getting links, finding programmes etc, yes you'll save yourself a fortune it's nothing like having sky
Is the constant buffering and no streams found included in the price?
If you want to go down the pirate route get a box, even something cheap like an openbox and pay about £15 a year for everything, and it actually works.
Why someone always says get kodi instead on these deals is beyond me.
Happened to me with Virgin Media, although I saw a sharp increase in the amount they wanted from me after my initial 18 month discounted contract offer, where my monthly bill rocketed from £32 a month to £44 lol .
Cheers
Put it under that Chinese exchange student who's just moved in with you "Mae Dup"
My old equipment is on its last legs and would like a new satellite dish
I suposse it's better than paying full whack though. Depends which way you prefer to look at it really.

Unfortunately, we have been unable to proceed with your order.
Great Start! :disappointed:
order accepted, yay!!
installation next Friday
added multiroom for the kids (for 12 months anyway)
thanks OP
i have £36 for family bundle+broadband+line rental and due for renewal. is that a good deal if am able to renew ?
The question I have is surely you can't have two sky TV subscriptions at the same address ie two account holders at the same address (as I'm now in my 30 day cancellation period thing).
Is their a way I can still sign my wife up as a new customer while I'm in the 30 day cancellation period?
Some changes to your subscription payments
Your Sky TV subscription price will change from June. As you just joined us, your monthly price won't be affected for the first 60 days. Your bill will go up by £3.50 after that. Your HD pack will also go up by 0.75p.
Edit : Just checked, it does say in the terms of this deal "Prices may go up during your contract"
If it's going up by £4.25 in 3 months I'll give it a miss
I get the code and when I get to checkout it recognises I am already a customer, which I am, but have cancelled my own subscription, but looking to set up my partners name, not the same surname, but naturally the same address, is it picking the address up
Bit like postage stamps I suppose.
I cancelled 5 days ago and I want to get the wife to sign up. Surely when they come and fit the box they will see that the property already has a sky subscription.
Do I need them to connect the box (installation) once my old deal has run out?
Update on this, my order is now showing as an engineer visit after spending around 20 mins trying to get through on live chat the agent there told me I have to have an engineer visit and refused to believe I was promised the box would be sent out . After a long drawn out chat he then agreed to find the previous live chat and confirmed I had been "misinformed" about the self install ( I call it lied to get a sale)
Not the best first impression of going back to Sky ...
I just kept trying and changed my email until it finally worked.
500GB isn't going to stretch far with our content appetite so an upgrade will be arranged sharpish before The Boss queues up a load of series.
For those that are wondering, I put my cancellation in a few weeks back before I knew of this offer, this deal is under my GF's name, same address, no issue.
quoted £53 without any sports or movies...
Would it be the complete bundle link?
Your Sky TV subscription price will change from June. As you just joined us, your monthly price won't be affected for the first 60 days. Your bill will go up by £3.50 after that. Also, your Multiscreen will go up by 0.75p per subscription and your HD pack will go up by 0.75p.
Can't complain for £30p/m for 12 months.
I'll be telling them where to get off and enact my cancellation if nothing forthcoming (2 week cooling off).
