Make your booking - visit Travelodge using get deal link (make sure you read the terms and conditions first) and use their handy tool to find rooms from £29 or rooms in London from £49 (some words of warning on this later on) and continue to make your booking as you normally would.
Earn cashback - once you make your booking, your £29 cashback will immediately track and we'll pay you this money once Travelodge have confirmed to us that you have stayed in the hotel room. You'll earn £29 cashback on any Travelodge booking made up until 09/03/2017 so if you book a £29 hotel room, the room is completely free, though you'll still earn £29 cashback if the room costs more.
Please note this is limited to ***500 bookings*** so you'll need to be quick!

Few queries on here so hopefully I can address them all in one go:
1. The offer has now expired - if you've managed to click through though we will still honour any bookings. If it hasn't tracked automatically please submit a manual claim here
2. In order to redeem the offer, sign up on this page (or click "get deal"), you will then be redirected to this page, read the Ts&Cs and make your booking using the button below (which sends you to Travelodge)
3. Try and avoid making a Travelodge booking on another site using the general EarnAway search - we'll honour these bookings but as it's a manual process it's a bit more of a hassle
4. If you're an existing member who has signed up via HUKD but not made a booking, you will get the £29 cashback but any additional bonuses will be declined
5. Your booking should track within an hour and you will receive an email telling you but it can take up to 6 hours

Hi all. Just to confirm on the issues here:
1. Travelodge have confirmed all bookings but only pay us twice a month. They have paid us for the first third of transactions but we don't have visibility of how they are deciding when to pay. If you're booking is not yet "confirmed" on EarnAway, the payment should be made in the next run (which occurs at some point today). You should then be able to request payment. We have to wait for them to pay us before we can consolidate the transactions and that's why it can take a prolonged period of time to receive your cashback. If this wasn't clear we will make this clearer the next time.
2. We run payments once a week (on a Thursday). There was a technical bug last week with the people who make payments for us so the run occurred on Monday not Thursday. After the payment it generally takes 2-3 days to receive your money so anybody who requested payment prior to Monday should receive the money in their account either today or tomorrow (based on my shoddy maths).

Myself and my co-founder own part of the company and Maple Syrup Media who own Quidco own some of the rest. They don't own any of HUKD. Without wanting to sound like I'm making up excuses tracking is always an issue with the affiliate model as is controlled largely by the Affiliate Networks and partner's who's sites actually have the tracking. Can we push to improve this? Totally. We're simply trying to do our best as a start-up to try and acquire new users, give them great deals (not just now but subsequently) and ensure ensure a good customer experience when it doesn't go according to plan.

Well, I guess someone could argue it's a bit like Google favouring their own applications on Android and Google has just been found guilty of this in an anti-trust case triggering massive fines. It's probably best avoided. Personally I don't think this is the case as hotukdeals tend to let people post offers from other retailers on here although I'm sure they'd have something to say if the retailers themselves posted the offers.

SIgned up via 'get deal' link and then cut/paste 'get deal' link into a clean newly opened browser that I use only for cashback based purchases. Signed up - booked room - panicked a bit when I realised I'd booked, but not yet verified my account. 5 minutes after booking received email from earnaway confirming booking had tracked and £29 cashback amount. Looks like a good provider so far, good service and easy to use. Just need to compare their regular cashback on hotels v's alternatives and maybe using them some more if this all comes through OK. Hi all - as a general point, to get the offer the booking should have been made via Travelodge using the link as specified on the landing page. A few people have made the booking at another provider and as I can understand how the confusion has happened, we will honour those who booked elsewhere (e.g. via LateRooms) by manually increasing the cashback they have earned to £29. If this has happened to you we should have emailed you directly using the email you signed up to EarnAway with but if not, message us on HUKD and we will get this sorted.

Earlier today I followed the instructions, I followed the link through to Creating an Account with Earn Away, Followed the Link to Search for Rooms via Travel Lodge. This took me to a page on their site searched the room and then went to book it then took me to the Mobile Ver of their website I hope this doesn't make an effect In tracking the Cashback it was still the Travelodge website.

I booked a hotel on travelodge yesterday... Today I cancelled the booking and rebooked via this link. My e-mail has stated that the booking has been tracked and I will be eligible for the refund after I have stayed.
In regards to the travelodge website, I had to use the Opera browser due to VISA not working on chrome (states an invalid start date when I don't have the option to add one)
For a £57 booking I have saved £29 which will almost pay for the return train ticket for me... This is a hot deal in my opinion.

If it hasn't tracked and have to submit a claim it will ask for booking number. Hotel provider and date check in and out as well as the day you booked. If your order was automatically tracked it won't be applicable to you

It very much depends on the Travelodge. Almost all of them since the refurb a couple of years ago are great - exactly like they look on the TV adverts. By far the best value in the UK.
You do get the odd one though that looks very tired.

Their hotel quality reflect the price. That's not why I won't stay with them again, this is:
I ended up in the same boat (not from their Derby one ... I was in the York one). As did many other people. It got them on WatchDog. The company they were using for this scam was run by the same guy behind several of the wheel clamping companies that are always in the news in England. (Different rules up here in Scotland so they can't do it.) I suspect they've stopped using them now, but the amount of hassle it caused me put me off them for life.
The bloodstains on the wall behind the curtains also didn't help ....

Fab, just booked Arundel Fontwell Park in May for £39. Heading to Butlins Bognor the next day so will be great to extend the holiday. Couldn't do it on my phone as the address section didn't work - the keyboard kept disappearing. Went to laptop and ended up setting up another Earnaway account as the original password wasn't workign also. Fingers crossed I've done it right, was in a hurry to do preschool run. Luckily it's a flexible rate booking so still cancellable if needs be.

1. The offer has now expired - if you've managed to click through though we will still honour any bookings. If it hasn't tracked automatically please submit a manual claim here
2. In order to redeem the offer, sign up on this page (or click "get deal"), you will then be redirected to this page, read the Ts&Cs and make your booking using the button below (which sends you to Travelodge)
3. Try and avoid making a Travelodge booking on another site using the general EarnAway search - we'll honour these bookings but as it's a manual process it's a bit more of a hassle

Make your booking - visit Travelodge using get deal link (make sure you read the terms and conditions first) and use their handy tool to find rooms from £29 or rooms in London from £49 (some words of warning on this later on) and continue to make your booking as you normally would.
Earn cashback - once you make your booking, your £29 cashback will immediately track and we'll pay you this money once Travelodge have confirmed to us that you have stayed in the hotel room. You'll earn £29 cashback on any Travelodge booking made up until 09/03/2017 so if you book a £29 hotel room, the room is completely free, though you'll still earn £29 cashback if the room costs more.
Please note this is limited to ***500 bookings*** so you'll need to be quick!

1. Travelodge have confirmed all bookings but only pay us twice a month. They have paid us for the first third of transactions but we don't have visibility of how they are deciding when to pay. If you're booking is not yet "confirmed" on EarnAway, the payment should be made in the next run (which occurs at some point today). You should then be able to request payment. We have to wait for them to pay us before we can consolidate the transactions and that's why it can take a prolonged period of time to receive your cashback. If this wasn't clear we will make this clearer the next time.
2. We run payments once a week (on a Thursday). There was a technical bug last week with the people who make payments for us so the run occurred on Monday not Thursday. After the payment it generally takes 2-3 days to receive your money so anybody who requested payment prior to Monday should receive the money in their account either today or tomorrow (based on my shoddy maths).

In regards to the travelodge website, I had to use the Opera browser due to VISA not working on chrome (states an invalid start date when I don't have the option to add one)
For a £57 booking I have saved £29 which will almost pay for the return train ticket for me... This is a hot deal in my opinion.
I have raised a claim. I have clicked on the button as per instructions and successfully booked Travelodge room using my mobile. Not sure what went wrong...
Following the EarnAway's poster's guidance of signing up and following Travelodge link and approx 1 hour on have just seen it tracked with £29 value on EarnAway a/c; though Travelodge email system is presumably having some hiccups today as their email confirmations haven't come through yet (though obviously the booking shows on My Bookings on their website).

thanks ive chased them a litle, I have a booking number, no email and no way of printing it from Travelodge site, I know its been paid/reserved at my bank...........not sure what to do either I dont fancy turning up without writen or printed confirmation

I ended up in the same boat (not from their Derby one ... I was in the York one). As did many other people. It got them on WatchDog. The company they were using for this scam was run by the same guy behind several of the wheel clamping companies that are always in the news in England. (Different rules up here in Scotland so they can't do it.) I suspect they've stopped using them now, but the amount of hassle it caused me put me off them for life.
The bloodstains on the wall behind the curtains also didn't help ....

As you say, it is about a offering good deals.
Though, I'd argue that if you use that logic then it would also apply to companies posting for themselves.
At the end of the day users voting hot or cold will decide if it truly is a hot deal or not regardless of who posted it or why it was posted.
