I gave heat on this item when it first appeared, bought one on sunday, very impressed for the price paid.
I'll be using it on a cycle trailer.
And for a house move when it eventually happens.

I wonder if sticking a strip of the gap foam seal you use for windows, round the top edge of the box would make it more resistant to the weather?

no mention about water proof in the website, check with store.

The lid goes down over the edge of the box by about 1.5cm, so water ingress is very unlikely. There is no rubber seal, however, so I wouldn't expect the contents to avoid moisture in the air (which could condensate).

Could you make it across the channel in one of these?

If you weigh say 70 Kgs, this will support your weight plus about half of the trunk would be sticking up above the water. On a dead calm day, without waves, you could make it. Maybe!

These are waterproof provided they are stood upright. There is no watertight seal around the lid, so in the (probably very unlikely) event it fell on its side in a pool of water, the water would get in. A very good deal regardless.

Didn't know this was a deal. I bought two the other day at this price and they are great.

Quality. Got home with one, 3 year old daughter climbed in and I pushed her round the living room in it. Don't really want to use it for storage now!

Must be last of stock in store clearance as these were £19 down to £15 at wilko ages ago and
they have not had any for months in bulk, think Strata stopped selling to them!

OP says waterproof but website doesn't mention this, can anyone confirm?

I have had one outside for 6 months and it is waterproof. The middle part of the top lid sometimes shows a small pool of rainwater but that's no problem. I like the ability to wheel it about to clean behind it etc.

Good boxes. They have little holes you can put a padlock through to secure the lids should you feel the need. Or cable ties if you're a cheapskate like me.
I got a load a few years back when they were a tenner. They survived a house move and several changes in use and they are still as robust as the day they were bought. Can recommend them. Heat added OP.

Normally £20 in b and Q, they did have them on offer one weekend, only £10 each but they had people queuing before they opened for them

These will disappear from all stores, from the weekend shoppers at this price, so like most
HUKD deals grab them if you can!
