I know that the beauty voucher I got recently, you had an option of booking online via groupon or directly via the phone. If booking directly she got the funds automatically but if booked directly the beautician needed to know the codes to claim the money back.
Having spoken to at 3 people who had deals with groupon they all said 50%. They hoped to get repeat business or make money from 'extras'.

I'd be curious to know as well if Groupon pays people in advance, or if you actually have to use the voucher before the company providing the service gets paid.
Obviously for the goods that won't apply as they're shipping items, but if you say didn't turn up for an afternoon tea or never ordered your photobook - would Groupon still pay them or just pocket that for themselves.

There's a link in the voucher page which takes you over to the lotto site: http://promotion.lottoland.co.uk/groupon/deals/offer3.html
Put your voucher code in there and it'll give you 2 tickets a week for 5 weeks.
