I stopped eat whoppers altogether since the nearly inch thick lettuce is really gross with an already cold burger and an anemic tomato. Only eat things with cheese and bacon now.

Wouldn't do it at Blackburn but that said the member of staff could just about press a button on a till. She kept trying to charge full price.

Maybe they're concerned about the health image, after all super size got removed after the Morgan spurlock documentary.

Microwaving would only be done if the burger had been in the steamer for a while and it would have improved the flavour of the burger. Melting cheese/heating up bacon was another process that improved the flavour.
A whopper and it's bun that have just come out of the flame broiler would never be microwaved! It takes about 3 minutes to cook a burger from scratch from frozen to ready to eat, if you ever wondered.
The quality of BK meat and cooking method if 100 times better than McDonald's.
McD leaves the patty stewing in its own fat on the hotplate.
BK let's the fat leak away and is basically barbecuing the burger.

Burger king claim have your burger how you like it. Which is great in theory but they never print a full price menu for extras such as this burger. Does anyone know the prices for extra cheese, tomato, bacon, lettuce, onion? could be fairly helpful to know we could design our own burgers then :smile:

Thats what I have been doing since the 90s, the McQuad is their best burger. I just remove one bun bottom and put them together. 4 pattys and all that cheese is burger heaven im surprised its not on the menu but then again it would probably be their best seller..

Noirmally I buy things I didn't realise I need because of HUKD, after seeing this I didn't relaise I was hungry!

60 pence for an extra patty isn't a 'deal'. they only cost them around 10 pence each to produce. I worked for a big competitor and theirs cost less than that.

I used to work in BK, extra bacon was 30p and extra cheese was 15p a slice.
You've always been able to add extra patties and there wouldn't be a limit. Their slogan used to be 'have it your way'.
The biggest burger we did was a bacon double excel with an extra 4 patties, 2 pieces of cheese and bacon per patty we just used the whopper foil wraps and easily managed it. It was able 9 inches tall and the drunkard that ordered it threw most of it away as we discovered at the end of the shift when leaving.

They need to use sticks that you skewer through the middle of the burger, plus I've often eaten burgers with a knife and fork so being able to get my chops around the burger is no obstacle.
