As title, went in to see if they had any weights but only had these at £3. Had about 6 on the shelf. Possibly other stores too.
Gotta be worth a try for that price.

Was using mine just now before coming on here. The clear design flaw with these is that the heads of the bolts on the lower bit should face UP. I dropped it on my head the other day, ever so gently, then I thought my face felt wet and I had blood running down my face. It was really superficial but the other side of the bolt is flat and rounded. You can't swap them over as the recesses for the bolts don't allow it.
Nevertheless, they're great because you just just whip it out from under the bed, use it and put it back before your other half gives you grief for leaving your rubbish about the place. And one day you'll build up enough strength to face her in combat.

I'm not even that heavy but I've seen enough Youtube videos to put me off using one of these.

I had one and it was brilliant. Walk through the door and do 10.
Problem with them is you need a solid wall above the door, otherwise it pushes plasterboard in. Had to replace above the door I had it on. Though I am 70kgs

You can use these on some public bus stops and telephone boxes. Get your pump on when out and about. :sunglasses:

Adviced use on bustops with low frequencies, say 10 mins or more, or you just look daft!

I use one of these but they can crack the top of the door frame and you need a door with a gap at each side, not one side up against the wall as the handle will not fit in.
I have cracked two door frames within the first week but luckily the frame to my bedroom was a lot stronger and has been solid for well over a year now. Great piece of kit and this is a bargain. Just tie some socks around the bar where it pushes against the side door frames otherwise it will leave big marks and dents in the frame.

I have used one of these since 2006 & think they are great. It is always fun being able to bust out 15-20 chin ups on demand & see the looks on "buff" guys who aren't able to match it.
The only issue I have encountered is gravity. I stupidly walked up a nearby wall so that my body was horizontal at the height of the top of the door frame. Then a slight weight shift when I was doing upside down push ups meant it un hooked from the door & I dropped 6 foot pretty quickly. Obviously it isn't designed for this & my common sense was a little more limited whilst at Uni...

Used one to help curb the cravings from quitting smoking. Worked really well... Until I did about 40 in the space of 3 hrs one night and pulled my neck... On the bright side the pain was bad enough that cravings didn't really cross my mind too much!

I really worry about the construction used in modern homes with all the comments about weak walls and door frames. I've had one of these for a while and use it about 3 times a week with no problems and I'm 90kgs. Bought another one from Tesco for £3.25 last week for a spare, really recommend one.

I use mine in the toilet doorway, sometimes my dad ducks under me and knocks out a log, the smell really helps me get my reps in ultraquick and then i chug a tub of whey which i keep in the towel cupboard. I'm like 100, ripped and lift 200 cold. Sometimes 220.

got one today seems great price so gave it a go, i was scared the door frame would not take my weight (85kg) but it was not a problem. have used it to do some dips which it is not very much dip but with feet raised got a bit of a work out and it really dose make press ups harder which i was not expecting.

Great bit of kit, but can leave a few black marks, but this is gateway kit, after you can do 50reps with barely a sweat on, it won't be enough and you'll be building one of these

I think you need to include a link to a video camera so that people can video themselves falling off one of these while acting like a monkey - and then earn £250 from you been framed.
Opening post
Gotta be worth a try for that price.
