Angles not acurate ???. Are you sure it's not you. What is it they say "A bad workman always blames his tools" or that's what my wife keeps telling me!!!

To be fair the angles on my cheap b and q one are rubbish. The trick is to have a template to calibrate it with. Sure the above will do a good job, you don't need branded tools for diy. Do the maths some people buy a branded 150 pound drill and only drill 20 holes with it, that's 7.50 a hole. Just get cheap kit and deal with the odd limitation.

Interesting as I have had one for two years, used for odd jobs and found it perfectly capable and my angles were spot on and the stand is solid.

Probably right, most cheap ones have poor angles, mine certainly does (although not this model) - and cutting wood at 45degrees is impossible, or virtually, luckily wood filler sorts that
Good for cutting up kindling for the fire though, or cutting up lots of wood that doesn't need super accurate cuts.

Picked one of these up for £40 last month. Haven't used it yet but looks pretty good for the price

You'll be lucky to find one as they have been Rtc for months.

Laid solid oak flooring in several rooms with this and it did a fine job. The cutting angle at 0 degrees was slightly out but I just shifted the dial over a fraction to account for this. The board ends were covered by skirting anyway and the cuts were still tidy. I guess it depends what job you need it for, but this should be good for most woodworking!

Perfect, need a straight cutting tool for a decking project. Massive heat - thank you!

Paid £20 for a performance power model from b&q a few years ago looks near identical. I've used it a lot and never changed the blade. The one issue is the poor width of cutting so I'm looking to upgrade to a double bar sliding type once I see a good deal. Double bevel would be nice too rather than the left only of my current model. This model seems a good price but it's a very basic spec.

You can get some decent b grade stock from evolution, very happy with my rage s3 for £50 just before Christmas

angles are accurate, only thing is laser is in the wrong place so if your cutting shaped wood its not always accurate. Like a fancy skirting board or coving etc.
Powerful enough as well although remember it only goes to 210 mm before you have to turn the wood round. i always say 9" is the least i can manage with:)

all you need to do is account for the laser being out slightly. really not hard

Looks good but only grade c available at the moment at a reasonable price and that can be missing accessories. i'll try to keep an eye on the site as they look pretty good.

The back stop may need to be adjusted to make the angle's true.

Ok for chopping firewood up but useless for accuracy, I had one that failed, replacement had far too much play in the hinge making angles +/- 15 degrees.

I have one of these brought just after Christmas, dose not cut quite as wide as I would like. Its not the angles are rubbish more of they dont really relate to the little arrow so have to make sure before you cut. even the 90 degree straight cut is a little out. But having said all this one you know this dose the job for what I want it to do and although makes me swear when forget to set it made a few planters for the garden.

Picked one of these up yesterday in Cambridge (still 7 in stock at the time) and been using it all day today on new bannisters. It feels solid enough and the angles were spot on.... maybe I got lucky but this is fine for light DIY. Heat added.

Brilliant for DIY mine has been going strong for ages. If I want perfect angles I pay a professional. For DIY purposes this saw is excellent. You only really notice a big difference in accuracy when you pay 10x what this saw costs and you need to have 10x as much experience to get the accuracy out of the saw in the first place.

Have one and used it quite a bit. More than good enough for DIYers. Pretty sturdy. Laser light is perfect but better than nothing. Not a huge amount of adjustment but fine for basic stuff

10 pound more delivered for an evolution grade b one? Any advice on buying it over this? If the evolution is better il buy it but if there is basically no difference il give this a go. Thanks for advice in advance

Where's the Evolution Grade B one for £10 more? I bought a Grade C before Christmas for just under £50 and it was damaged - and well used. They sent a replacement which was fine. Grade C seem hit and miss. I thought Grade B were more than £50
Anyone recon this would do fine for metal (with different disc)?

I bought a Rage S3 for £47 but grade C not B. Looks fantastic TBH. Yes its clearly been used before the blade looks like light use and the tool is really well made. Only bevels to the left but apart from that absolutely ideal for me and a bargain at £47. A new one is £99.99 at Screwfix currently and even that price seems a bargain considering the brilliant build quality and functionality.
