Good little phone at a good price, only thing it lacks is a micro sd slot and the 800Mhz/B20 frequency.
The 32Gb version is £150.
At the EU warehouse, so delivery should be about a week and no customs/duty to pay.

The title was edited by a mod, I've just changed it... But the title on the website does say phablet for some reason.

Not bad at all, Xiaomi being the "Apple" of Chinese phones, but be aware there`s no expandable storage. Still, 1080p at 5 inches may be a huge appeal for many. Also, EU supplier, so no customs.

thats one of the main probs i have with the Xiaomi ie no sdcard slot and the other is that most dont have NFC but thats why they ave come up with the Xiaomi Mi 5, there is still no sdcard slot on the Xiaomi Mi 5 but the internal memory is a huge on the Pro edition is 128 GB, 4 GB RAM and for other editions 32/64 GB, 3 GB RAM and to add to that it has NFC as well as an Infrared port.

Not sure if you are aware but if you buy from 'EU' and want/need to return it, they require it to be 'returned' to China (where things go missing often)

Mi4i has 1080 screen, no SD slot and a 3000mah battery.

Getting a bit tired of all these phones lacking the 4G 800 band. :disappointed:

I'd personally go for the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6. Has all the bands needed, 4g, SD card slot, 1080p and is bought in the UK, so much easier returns if any issues arise.

You just don't buy Android phones without SD card slots  I think they made a pro version of this with SD after the backlash. Totally pointless if you plan on storing music, pictures and videos.

I have to agree about the SD card slot; I bought the Mi4C for my daughter at Christmas and she insisted that 32Gb would be enough....... I don't really need to continue.

I have redmi note 4g since october 2014 and i am happy with it. The only one problem is difficult to set up mms. After 8 months of using it started having problems with software, problems were gone after i changed battery to new one. SD card slot is a must be in xiaomi phones  My next phone will be xiaomi with removable batteries and sd card.

(1) nfc tags are very useful
(2) android pay in the uk this yr
(3) NFC payment on the tube (using EE's Cash on Tap app)
and ofcourse some of us buy phones to last at least 2yrs and so future-proofing your phone is buyiing a phone with NFC

I would avoid Gearbest. I ordered a phone on 10th Jan from their EU warehouse and still haven't had it.
They have been stalling and stalling when I ask what is going on. Asked for a refund and they say that because I didn't take insurance I can only have about half as a goodwill gesture. According to the order tracking it is still waiting to be collected by the courier. They can't seem to get it fixed... although I don't think they have actually tried.

If you paid by credit card, contact them, or if by a bank card, ask for a chargeback. You can also contact paypal.

Still pointless, as the device needs to be NFC enabled nd the transaction must be authorized via a finger print scanner or a PIN, None of these phones have a finger print scanner which then makes it pointless to use it as it ll still require a PIN for the payment to be authorised from your phones screen. Meeh
If you want it done properly you ll need a different phone, SU6 is more appealing for those who interested TBH

Have to agree with you. I was very excited for Android Pay, but having used the equivalent with my Barclaycard, through Barclaycard app, it really isn't fluid enough without the fingerprint reader. Having to press power for the screen to turn on, then input 6 number pin and then scan, hasn't been anywhere as quick as using my contactless card. Plus with my OPO, the NFC contact is quite precise so failed connections are quite common, and make you look a bit of a plonker. Sometimes the NFC scan just gets completely rejected. Both these problems are non-existent (for me) when using cards. Plus I always have public transport cards and ID in my wallet, which I can't really be without, and if you ever break/drop your phone while your out, and don't have your wallet, you'd be absolutely snookered.

I ordered a Xiaomi Redmi note 2 from Gearbest EU in December which didn't arrive. Customer service has been appalling. When it became clear they weren't making efforts to send a replacement and were being inconsistent with their excuses I asked for a refund. They offered 50% which I refused so they made their final offer of 80%. Awaiting the outcome of a Paypal claim now.
They have good prices but I won't waste my time using them again.

"I would like to really know what you people use your NFC for ? I mean what you actually use it for ? Really ? "
It is used to rob/ empty your bank account in lots of less than £30 transactions by Criminals!
So having NFC is a reason not to buy a phone for me.
Story is BS, never happened on the tube, was stolen from a Russian news report. In which, it was pointed out you would have to be grossly naive to do this. Bank accounts, into which EFTPOS transactions are deposited, are easily traceable to the legal entity that opened the account.
Also there is a transaction limit before contactless no longer works, so they can't "empty your bank account". https://tjournal.ru/22625-staling-money-with-terminal
