You obviously don't have a clue. Microsoft actually does listen to gamers. They dropped everything that you mentioned and also dropped the mandatory Kinect and they added backwards compatibility. I still prefer the PS4 though

yes they did listen, too little, too late though I'm afraid, the damage was done.fair play to sony this gen though. After the success of the 360 (which i feel was the finest console ever made and still own) microsoft truly messed up on the xbox one with greed and the i don't care about kinect, even though sales are soaring in this generation of consoles i feel the best days of gaming was the last generation.

If anyone's worried about the 500gb.. it's plenty! It's also cheaper to add a 2.5" USB3 drive to make up the space than get a 1tb bundle. Add a SSD drive in a USB3 caddy for the "important" games you play frequently, you'll notice a considerable improvement to load times and get extra space

3 Mar 16#65
Well I initially totally boycotted Xbox for the DRM shambles and Mattrick being the biggest wxxxxx in the gaming industry made that decision all the easier.
Yet over the course of a couple of years my frustration at Sony's obsession with two bob indie rubbish and Phil Spencer saying all the right things at Microsoft won me over so I finally got an Xbox One to sit next to my PS4 in the run up to Christmas.
That said after recent events at Xbox, culminating this week with the announcements of all those off quay visions of console upgrades and yet more Xbox exclusives going over to PC, including a free version of Forza, I am half regretting I jumped on board.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but had I known three months ago what I know today I would most definitely not have bought my Xbone, alas it is what it is :disappointed:

I'm just curious as I have a PS4 but games like this make me want to get Xbox one.

3 Mar 161#67
Well what I just said above, I have a PC but not good enough for gaming I doubt but even if it was I've gamed on consoles nigh on my whole life and I'm the wrong side of 40 now.
I just feel Microsoft have already given up the ghost this generation, PS4 is so far ahead and that's all that there is to it. I'm not a fan boy of either platform and I definitely don't go along with 99% of the pony that crapgamer traps off on youtube and twitter but I make him right for how he went at Spencer when they announced Quantum Break was coming to PC.
The whole concept of buying different consoles is because a certain number of their games being exclusive to specific platforms. The whole logic of buying a console is ease of use knowing you lob the disc in and it will work without stressing about your hardware being able to run it.
Phil Spencer has kicked both those most critical factors about owning Microsoft's console in touch this week with all that bollxxxx he announced the other day.

Just wait until June E3 probably Microsoft will announce modular Xbox One to compete with Sony sales and domination. If the modular is done correctly then it will be a game changer.
However I got a feeling Nintendo NX is kept secret even to devs. I bet their console is already a Hybrid kind of console just like how Microsoft are going modular route.
Theres quite a few out there but it seems the general idea was Sony was planning it but wanted to see public reaction first so then they can act like they were the good guys.
Myself I am a pc gamer more than anything so didn't care too much and only console for exclusives and multiplayer but in the real world companies are just as bad as each other and to deny otherwise is either being naive or a fanboy.
I have never sold on/traded in my old games as I like to have them all in my collection so those DRM policies would not have affected me personally on that front but ........................ I do lend games out to friends occasionally which would have been out of the window.
It was never going to be a popular move and Sony were sharp enough to sit back, watch and let Microsoft commit commercial suicide by getting that dinlow Mattrick to offend millions of gamers around the world.
They then came out the following day or whenever it was giving it all the 'no DRM on PS4' bunny and this generation was in the bag for Sony before it had even started.

I'm not totally buying in to either set of figures as gospel if the truth be known.
Sony seem to spout out console numbers shipped/sold whilst Microsoft appear far more comfortable droning on about XBL subscribers which obviously includes 360's too.
Ubisoft revealed something quite telling in their figures recently where they stated the average Xbox One owner is worth more to them than the average PS4 owner is.
IE: he/she spends more dough by purchasing new releases at launch and at a higher ratio per console. That would also fit in with XBL subs compared to PS+ subs so it's all smoke n mirrors from both sides to a degree.
My hunch is that there are far more 'casuals' buying PS4's because it's the toy to have but after playing whatever game came bundled with their console that's it. They don't invest in PS+ for a substantial period, never mind renew their subs, and they don't buy many games.
I mean this gaff is full of people that want AAA titles for fivers two months after they've been released. And yeah we all do obviously but the gaming industry needs those of us who pay 40 quids for these titles at launch far more than those who pay tenners six months or a year down the line. If everyone waited for big games to become stupid cheap developers and publishers would stop developing/publishing them in an instant.

He was talking about in the first place, they didn't listen to gamers, which is what caused the outcry and forced MS to go back on their word. Did you not watch the E3 conference a couple of years back? It was cringe-worthy viewing to say the least, and this was because they didn't listen.
