EA Access members should get their skates sharpened because the puck is about to drop. Starting March 29, NHL 16 enters the EA Access Vault, a growing library of EA games members can play as much as they want on Xbox One.

I guess I'll delete the NHL 15 that I installed but never actually played then!
Got a new12 month EA Access card unused and ready to go, but hoping to clear some of my already huge gaming backlog first.

Well Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is a 2 year game unlike these ones so it has more life to it. Will still probably come soon but after paid DLC is released is my guess.

There's not a lot of games IMO, and half of them are outdated sports games

That'll do nicely. Currently using up my trial of the new Need For Speed. I expect that'll go on the vault in a month or so too.

They need to add the UK Elite & Premier League teams to the next version.
They may be crap in comparison to NHL, but as someone who attends MK Lightning games, it's nice to have something more familiar.

I wouldn't say I'm a fan but I have been to a few Steelers games and they're great entertainment. Having a 'local connection' would be good but how far would they have to take it?

Id like to think the same will happen in future, i'm not sure how many UK leagues they would include however the minimum they should include is the Elite League. the EIHL seems to be full of ex NHL, AHL and ECHL players these days.

They should rename the service "EA Sports Access".

EA access is superb value but i do understand it depends what kind of games you play.
Hopefully EA might include some back compatible titles in the future although that might mean a price increase is coming at 20 pounds its a bargain and even more so if you can get it cheaper from one of the oversea stores.

Used to love these games as a kid. If they're anything like they used to be, it's an excellent addition, even if you're not in to hockey.

Even though I have this on X1 I really wish it was available on PS4 as that's where I do most of my gaming. Quite how Sony don't consider EA Access VFM I'll never know..

I've been a member of EA Access for a while now and I think it's amazing value for money. For example, I was on the fence about buying UFC 2 recently. I played it for less than the 10 hour "preview period" and decided it wasn't worth £40+ of my money! Heat added not only for giving me the heads up about NHL 16 but for trying to highlight the value of EA Access.... £19.99 for a year?....No brainer for Xbox One owners IMO.

Yeah...I know. Just seems to be almost all sports games that get added with the very occasional rare non-sports game. Still decent value mind, just a little disappointing.

This gen though EA are mostly sports game though so that's bound to happen.. Give it a year or two and it'll be boiling over with games

Milton Keynes are moving up to the Elite League from 2017/18 season, so let's hope NHL 18 includes them!
