have aldi started putting on best before dates on their fruit and veg, there was a programme on about how the staff do not know what stock rotation is, and the fruit and veg are disgusting because of it

I've never had trouble at the 3 I've used. Veg kept well.

This is odd as that's the first thing I learned when I worked in a fruit and veg shop as a teenager. I say odd because I learnt everything from the job whereas these days people take apprenticeships for the same work. Aldi offer them, supported by government money I think....

Quite surprising the responses you've received and the fact many people on here arent bothered about buying out of date food from aldi! After seeing that program and over hearing local store staff mentioning mouldy in-date bread on a previous visit I would not buy anything fresh from aldi again

Made Mash with these tonight, they were fine. At 25p for 2.5kg they are great value.

Oh, so that's how you are supposed to eat them. I'd been holding my nose and starving myself between meals to get these eaten.
They only have the Super 6 for a few days, potatoes should last much longer than that. They are 25p potatoes which I found quite challenging, having seen the deal posted here a few days ago. When Asda had the 1kg new potatoes for about 29p before these, that was a deal

No where it's one of the many fake brands aldi create to get you to buy them it looks better than them slapping the aldi logo all over it, if people think its a brand they tend to buy it over something from a supermarket own range, everything in aldi and lidl is practically own brand just with fake names and companies on the packaging.

Ones I got were very waxy and completely unsuitable for mash. Not a complaint - just saying. Made a mega bubble'n'squeak with them using Aldi Carrots, swede, red onions Savoy.
Of course as it all came from Aldi it was mouldy and gone-off.........
Back up to 39p in my local today. I think Morrison's and Asda have finished there Easter promotions, so no need for Aldi to keep price at 25p to compete. Still a good price though.
