All it takes is the swipe of a finger. We connect with friends. We buy the latest gadgets and gear. We find out what’s happening in the world. But with that same simple swipe, we cast an increasingly expansive shadow. With each connection, we leave a digital trail that tracks our every move and milestone, our every like and dislike. And it’s not just people. Today, all major cities are networked. Urban infrastructures are monitored and controlled by complex operating systems.
In Watch_Dogs, this system is called the Central Operating System (CTOS) – and it controls almost every piece of the city’s technology and holds key information on all of the city’s residents.
You play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker and former thug, whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. Now on the hunt for those who hurt your family, you'll be able to monitor and hack all who surround you by manipulating everything connected to the city’s network. Access omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control traffic lights and public transportation to stop the enemy… and more.
Use the city of Chicago as your ultimate weapon and exact your own style of revenge.

Game was moderately enjoyable, didn't bother getting round to completing it though.
Unfortunately <30fps on 'medium' settings isn't okay for everybody.

I think I spent longer trying to get it running than I did playing it. Disabling page files and installing beta graphics drivers, felt like I was back on my first PC again!
But for this price, and with the fixes they've now apparently implemented, I'd say it's worth it.

Guys MOD this right away and it looks so much better. I was running this at 4K 35fps on my old 970. With worst MOD. Sorry I didn't show the settings but I think only anti aliasing is turned off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsfIiJZxdms
I need to make one showing setting with my 980ti.

Bought this a few hours ago. The optimisation is APPALLING! On an 4690k, 16gb and 290x it's almost unplayably laggy whilst driving (29fps average).

Same as above but running with 970 Infin8 Black Edition. Runs like crap even with low settings, if this is with patches I would have hated to have seen it before.:man:
Completed and enjoyed it on PS4 by the way..

I must really be amongst the 1% who finds playing his game alright. I mean I get what people say about it being poorly optimised (I notice the stutters even on my 6600k/r9 390).
There are much worse games out there. £4 for it? Pushing it a bit, but for £2 and under? It's worth a go.

Sheesh you could get this for a little over a pound a year ago. There were so many spare keys as the game was given away lots with Graphics cards.
There are other sites selling a key for just under £2, but I don't think HUKD allow them unfortunately

Got this game and didn't play more then 1 hour. This is just as bad as Need for Speed 2012.
Terrible game. The only game I bought which looked better in trailers then actual game play.
There is no clear storyline objectives either.

No Comments, So I'll go ahead.
I bought it the day it came out a couple years back, and it really is a pile of Garbage. Badly optimised on PC, essentially a console port. The Graphics are disappointing for how laggy it can be on a decent GPU.
I could drive full speed through the city and watch the distance slowly render in potato graphics on a Nvidia 680.
Tie that in with the fact that the controls just feel .. wrong, like slow and not designed for keyboard and mouse wrong, and also the fact that the game itself isn't exactly gripping and I would give it a solid 4/10 for trying.

It ran OK on PS4 but yeah story could be better. Probably worth getting at this price though.

Had it on PS4 - Decent game, runs fine. Played to completion. I'd say I got my £4.74 worth.
What let this game down is the marketing and execs promising much more than it delivered. Now it's got a 'rep'
