Hi, I know you can buy this at Asda for £99, but I thought you would like to know it's the same price at Vodafone, online and in their shops.

My girlfriend has been using this phone for around 6 months and likes it. Her only real complaints are regarding Vodafone's cfw and bloatware.
Ordering it from Vodafone was not a good experience though and not something that I would ever want to go through again.

You can solve this by going into Chrome, tap the three vertical dots in the top right, go to Settings, and turn off the Merge tabs and apps setting. This way keeps your open tabs away from the multitasking menu.

Battery monitoring apps, antivirus apps and task killers are a false economy. It's best just to let Android deal with the power management and task killing. And as long as you don't install any third party APKs, there is simply no need for an antivirus app.
Your battery usage graph should look something like this:
The 'Awake' bars should be similar to the 'Screen ON' bars, as above. If the awake bar is solid/is a lot longer than the screen on bars then there's something running in the background draining your battery, and you need to get rid of it.

Just wondering if this is normal for the su6 know everyone raves about it but mines seems be heating faster than other phones I've used.
I don't have many apps installed and not using it for gaming.
It's just web browsing and internet but it's up at 40 degree c. I have du battery app and 360 security which should both stop apps running in background etc.
However when I use chrome I can't see a way to see how many tabs I have open so that may be a contributing factor.

I don't get unread badge notification for text messages and when I open the messages app it shows my threads if texts but doesn't highlight which are new/unread.
Royal pain in the assignment when textj6 is my main means of communication and such a basic thing too. Never experienced that issue before and I've had lots of different smart phones at various points
Also not really an issue as such but everyone goes on about how great the phone is I think it's pretty basic I mean it only has one color of led notification. All phones I've owned in the past year or 2 have had a different color for at least calls/txts then whatsapp/fb and battery charging. This is just a blue notification for all types. Pretty simple and basic. Honestly I can't understand why everyone raves about this phone.

Got an su6 and honestly it's been nothing but problems. The latest is that the messaging app which I've set to messages not hangouts or messanger but messages (not the Vodafone one) I don't get the unread messages badge count on the icon. I do for missed calls fb email but not for messages. When I then go into messages it shows them all as already read and doesn't highlight which ones are new.

Bought one for the missus from Vodafone shop yesterday morning. Shop asst was adamant that it had gone up from £99 to £129 overnight as it was a Bank Holiday only deal and finished at midnight on Bank Holiday Monday. I informed him that it was still available on the website for £99 and he said that he could not honour that instore. He suggested that I order it from the website there and then on my mobile, choosing in-store pickup, to get the cheaper price. I told him that was a **** and asked for the manager. The manager finally relented and sold it to me for £99 ... but I had to buy a £10 top-up! **** waste of a tenner seeing my wife is on an O2 monthly sim only contract. Anyhow, a £1.69 unlock code and an hour later and she could stick in her O2 card.
I had a good play with it yesterday and this morning and decided that I liked it so much that I would get one for myself to replace my elderly Samsung S4 mini. After another palaver with Vodafone customer services, I decided that I wouldn't be dealing with them again. I ordered an anthracite model from Amazon this afternoon for £99 ... and didn't even have to buy a rip-off top up voucher! It's an excellent phone for the money.

I found that in Google Chrome if I just refreshed the screen 5 or 6 times the 'keep existing sim' option then appeared without having to click it in time, it just stayed on the screen.

29 Mar 16#61
For anyone who is having problems hitting the "keep current sim" option in time, one option might be this: on the "choose bundle" page, right-click and choose "view page source". Then on the page of html code that opens up, search for the word "keep" - you will notice a big long clickable hyperlink below a heading that says Keep your existing Vodafone SIM. That link is the code for the button that is hiding from you! Click it and you should be taken to a page that shows you have it in your basket and the Choose your Big Value Bundle selection says "You've chosen to keep your existing Vodafone SIM".

RebTheRebel to HottyHotty

I went from a Nexus to this and have no regrets at all. Tbh I put my hands up and admit I was a phone snob when I saw them at this price and told myself I'd only ever stick with Nexus. Bought this anyway as a throw away phone if you know what I mean, and never looked back. You won't get the latest version of android, if you want that stick to Nexus, but it's a great phone. Battery is ridiculous on mine. Roughly 2 full days use at around 2.5 hours screen time a day, outlasts any previous smart phone I've used. At £99 it's a steal!

I've had one a good few months now - some pluses and minuses
Unlocking - cheap and easy from eBay!
Bloatware - there were 5 Vodafone apps on mine, 4 uninstalled and 1 disabled so the only trace of Vodafone on it now is the logo on the back!
Size - I'll be honest, it's too big for me. It doesn't fit pockets, it doesn't fit in 1 hand easily - my next phone will be smaller but YMMV - try before you buy...
Speed - It's fine - better than my old S3 and her indoor's S4 for sure
Screen - also fine - it's not "saturated to the point of silly" Samsung colors of course - but it's fine
Camera - OK - poor in low-light perhaps but it's a camera!
Battery Life - really good - I get 3 days of light use, 2 days of regular use - WAY more than any phone I've had before!
One design issue - the power and volume buttons are on the same side/next-to each other and are easily caught in pockets etc - I bought a cheap gel case to stop that
I'm happy, overall, a TONNE of phone for £99 really...

Ordering it from Vodafone was not a good experience though and not something that I would ever want to go through again.
Any sign of an upgrade to Marshmallow?
