Back on the Daily Deal at eBay. Unfortunately there's only turquoise remaining. Good price for a 'Grade A' Manufacturer's Refurb.

agree about the screen, not amazing in light rooms but i mainly use mine in the evening. In the day I have to find the right angle though.

mine arrived today. some thoughts compared to my gaming xps
no backlit keyboard
slow at loading webpages
poor viewing angles
no sound on mkv files
pros : £99.99, lightweight, good battery life.

Picked one up on the last offer and really like it. Ok, it's a Chromebook so it's just a browser with a keyboard, but arrived as brand new, is fast, screen is good, speakers are good and battery is good. Compared to some reconditioned laptops I bought for my daughters, it's hassle free and works straight away. For £99 you can't go too wrong - just be aware that, as with all Chromebooks, it does not have the functional scope of a windows laptop.

how many tabs can you have open before lagging?

It was cheap speculatrix. Around £85 at the time. Its not just cloud storage. This is a slow machine with a dreaded eMMC drive but advertised as SSD at the time. As Isaid I do make use of it. Many people buy these things without realising the shortfalls hence my post. Its also why they are so cheap.

Sadly not voted either way on this one Buzz. Whilst Chromebooks are indeed fantastic machines, this make and model is renowned for issues to the keyboard. So much so that certain stores discontinued them altogether. It's a great looking machine in the hand, but avoid this one. My advice, buy a Chromebook, but not this one.

I'm puzzled why you bought it in the first place? Chromebooks are specifically designed to rely on cloud storage, so not have optical drive and huge internal drive.

I don't have this model but I've owned a couple of Chromebooks and they are fantastic. On the surface the hardware might seem a little underwhelming. However, ChromeOS is much less resource intensive than Windows, so you don't actually need loads of RAM and a particularly fast CPU. Additionally, if you use services like Google Drive and Google Music, you don't really need on-board storage. I have a very nice Windows ultrabook but find myself using my Acer 13" Chromebook 95% of the time. Battery life on these machines is much better than typical laptops. All in all I would wholeheartedly recommend Chromebooks and at this price it's a no-brainer!

Unfortunately only the turquoise? I got one for my daughter and it's a very nice colour actually and a perfect first laptop for her.

Got one of these the other week. Had to send it back as the battery was either knackered or there was a loose connection as it wouldn't charge. They sent me a replacement which is fine, it has a couple of marks but nothing serious and for £100 you can't go wrong.

I bought one from Argos ebay outlet. Beautiful looking laptop and an ideal size. However you are better off buying a tablet for what this does because this machine is little more than a tablet with a keyboard and lid. The eMMC drive (not ssd) is extremely slow compared to an SSD and is soldered onto the mainboard. The 16gb capacity is maxed out in no time an adding an external storage card doesnt help much. I bought a 64gb eMMC card to replace my 32gb one but cant physically replace the old one. Theres no ethernet port and you will have to get an external CD drive. So if you want to do nothing more than browse the internet with a 14 inch screen then this is ok. Links below to eMMC info and you can also find the maintenance manual online if you fancy taking it apart.
Hope this is helpful f your considering buying. I still use mine and its good to take on holidays. Its less chunky than my 15.6 inch Asus.
Avoid! Had to have mine replaced 3 times also I wish I checked reviews before I brought it

Purchased the turquoise one as the silver one sold out. Set it up today and must say it looks brand new.
So far so good.

Originally bought mine at PC world. Had to have mine replaced 3 times due a issue where keys stop working on the keyboard. Apparently a known issue. Aside from that it was a great machine!

Picked up a silver one last time.
Not in original packaging, but I would say as new condition no marks or blemishes, good screen. Can't comment on battery life as the first person I showed it to bought it off me.
Nice smooth interface, good build quality.
