The one I got yesterday says 6.5%, though. Different formulation to the one the OP found a fortnight ago? Possibly, but I'm not posting a new deal just for that.

Home Bargains had this for 69p, quite a while back.
A seriously quality ale and I wish this was a regular item.

Aldi sell Marstons Old Empire IPA 5.7% 500ml at £1.25 a bottle.

They also sell a strong Directors ale, Hobgoblin and cracking red wine and Prosecco. I choose Aldi booze over supermarket offers these days.

6.5%, works out £2.39 per litre or £1.36 a pint.

Better value when sainsbury do spitfire at a £1 a bottle. Atleast that is 500ml

this is a lovely beer really tasty and is quite strong. you can taste the malt whisky in it

I don't want to sound like a quantity over quality sort of guy, but...what size is the bottle?

EDIT: Just enlarged the image and it seems to be 330ml.
