Wonder what reviews at launch would have been like if the game rrp was this low.

Amazing (if they included the graphics/physics patch) although if you haven't already got wild run its worth buying the complete version of the game.

I can't stress enough how good this game is. Even if you buy this you will still be able to get the wild run in one of the sales.

Do you need to get Wild Run in order to have the improvements to the graphics and physics?

The wild run update will be installed when you put this in your Xbox. You just need to purchase it to unlock it.

No you don't need the wild run expansion to get the new "look & feel".

For those who didn't know about this (ie me), is it a free update? when you say "Purchase" it suggests not... I enjoyed the trial and have been waiting for the price to drop.

Was there a patch to the driving physics then? We took part in the beta and it was dire... Heard that wasn't improved for launch.

I bought this game around November time for about £25 but managed to pick up a pre-owned copy for my friend in December from Game for £5.00. The patch had only been out a week or so but it totally changed the game. I never disliked The Crew. I'm not a long campaign person in the sense of Fallout, Farcry or Just Cause, so a pick up and play driving game is fine for me.
All games are subjective and it's easier to criticise than to praise something on the internet. The Crew isn't the best game I've ever played but it's nowhere near the worst. For a fiver it was a steal (as would any game be), but I've never complained about paying £20 or £25 when it was on here last year. I think that was pretty much it's launch price but a few places were trying to take £40 up for it. I wouldn't pay that, and I don't think there's any need to pay that for any current gen game now.
