Google translate is not all that subtle, so I wouldn't want to use its translation to put together anything technical or important.

iOS version still has in-app purchase for "Translations into 70 languages" which is £2.99. Not sure what difference is that.

Google translate via image doesn't work offline, this app does.
Edit: Actually this doesn't either. OCR is offline - translation is online. Pointless...

Certainly helped me with my Crazy Legs Scooby Doo from B&M which was supplied with Portuguese instructions. Couldn't work out why the damn thing would operate in demo mode and not full mode - until I found out via Translate that they'd included a blank battery.

Not sure where the translation comes in, they can just use Office Lens which is free and great for capturing notes
