Swipe and win with Nectar card at homebase
Not quite as good as the recent Sainsbury's swipe and win
Swipe Nectar card at Homebase between 10-16th March and win between 50 and 2000 nectar points
Minimum spend £1
(might be account specific and you will have to load the deal onto your nectar card)

I spent £2 but nothing shown on receipt, got an email this week saying I won 2,000 points, checked my nectar account and the points had been added!

Homebase told me that points would be credited to my account and allocated 'randomly' (no voucher at till).
Just checked my Nectar account and I got 500 bonus points - not bad for a £2 spend
However the Sainsbury's version was much more fun!

Is this meant to be a voucher at the till or auto onto the card randomly? I "opted in" on the card the other day, have made a purchase today and there was nothing at the till?

Not sure - same thing happened to me, and I was expecting a voucher to fly out of the till!
So keep your receipt - I called Nectar who told me to contact Homebase and I'm awaiting an email response

though the minimum spend is only £1 for winning 50-2000 points, I drove few miles to Homebase today and spent £20 on some garden stuff. I got a print out with my recipt that says I won 50 points but that can redeemed only on my next shop that is valid until April 17th. I spent more on petrol to go the shop than the 50 points win that too i have to shop again at home spending more money. I am not impressed, hope more of you guys win 2000 poonts that can be used on sainsburys nectar double up. Good luck

Oh dear, might not be worth a special trip then. However when they had 'swipe and win' at Sainsbury's, you could take your voucher to customer services and they just swiped it and the nectar points got added - you did not have to 'spend' them in-store - even though it said 'redeem' by a certain date - so might be worth others trying that if they get a voucher. BUT if you do have to redeem the nectar points on a further Homebase purchase then I would phone Nectar up to complain - as that is not stated in the terms and conditions - in fact I just looked and it said full 'terms and conditions' on homebase.co.uk - and I just looked there and cannot find anything under Nectar - so worth a complaint to Homebase too - as if they are just jumping on the bandwagon of the Sainsbury's success then it's misleading marketing.
If you have the energy to contact Nectar about it then their number is 0344 811 0811
So probably not worth a special trip, but if you need stuff anyway just load the deal on your card before you go - and hopefully you will get lucky.
If anybody does manage to get a decent amount of points then please post on here, as would be interesting to know

Hi, I'm wondering about the 'redeem' bit. The last time they did these random points in Sainsburys store- I did one transaction, got bonus points with it, then immediately did another transaction, at which point I handed the bonus points slip to the assistant as I paid ( for the second transaction). When I got the bonus points slip for that, second transaction, I immediately did a third transaction. Again, I just handed over the points slip for them to be added on. The way I understood it, they can be added on to your total when you MAKE a purchase, you don't have to actually use them to purchase.
