you know Nintendo don't actually run the UK store right? it's actually outsourced to the Hut Group.

They don't run the Nintendo UK repairs centre either. I recently found out from my own experience of broken Wii U Gamepad Screen that its outsourced. Most people wouldn't notice. The standards and customer service are still of a high standard though, they wouldn't just let any 3rd rate dooshers manage their affairs.

There's a video on YouTube by gaming historian that gives the full story on Mario Bros 2, turns out the lost levels on Mario All Stars (SNES) is the real Japanese release of Mario Bros 2

I think they could have made the design a lot better like a timeline of Mario's or something.

Yes that would have been cool. Some hoodies would have been nice also. I prefer the yellow t-shirt for the 30th anniversary which has sold out (although can get on feebay).

Didn't know that, was quite interesting and worth a bit of googling.

Yeah thats pretty pants and disappointing to hear. I expect better of Nintendo and wouldn't put up with that either. Admittedly I have never had a need for their returns process. I wouldn't let it go, and I'd be making them aware its in the public domain and giving a link to this thread.

Unfortunately, their customer service, for me, has been appalling. They sent the wrong size and they had me send it back for the correct size. After a long time, I contacted them to find out if they got it, and they did. However, they told me that they couldn't exchange it without sending back everything, i.e the game, box and amiibo. I sold the amiibo, so that was impossible. Ever since then, they've fobbed me off or never replied. They even kept the t-shirt I sent back! Pretty shocking, overall.

Oh I feel so old. I was there 30 years ago, with my shiny NES, instant cart loading instead of 5 minute cassette loading. And the best game I had ever played.

Yes fond memories. I found SM2 on NES quite enjoyable as it did different things like the picking up stuff and playing as different characters, but retained the Mario vibe and themes of the 1st game.
It was SM3 that really did it for me. I rate that as the best Mario platformer ever. Swimming as Frog Mario or flying with Tanooki Mario, going on Bowsers flying ship, moving along the map, and the bonus stuff. It was and still is just a brilliant game.

I just wish Nintendo would send the t-shirt from my Mario maker preorder :disappointed:

Nintendo UK online shop has a great reputation for their customer service, usually communications and dispatch/delivery time is excellent. That must have been a while back? Have you taken it up with customer service?
