Always is Speilberg's personal favourite that he says nobody saw. It's on Now TV / Sky so I'm going to give it a go. Watched The Sugarland Express when it was on the other week and loved it. It's got the same thing as with Jaws where he just gets in locals to act and you can tell they're not pro's but it's got a real charm to it.
And why does 1941 get such a bad wrap. I always enjoy it, but maybe because I liked it as a kid.

Not usually my type of thing but will check them out on my Now TV deal. Missed the thanks.

Yeah, Sugarland Express is fantastic. Such energy and heart for a low-budget piece. I've never been keen on 1941, Always or The Lost World, but the rest of the films in this set are all classics. Jaws is my favourite film and the Blu-Ray restoration is a sight to behold!

Seems like an odd mix. Quite a few big titles missing. Good price though for 8 movies.

Good lad - Jaws is superb. It's one of those films where it's easy to forget how good it is. I bought the 25th anniversary edition ages ago and just put it on the shelf with all the other unwatched DVDs. Then it came on telly and I gave it a go and the magic happened again and when it finished I ripped off the cellophane so I could watch the extras.
When I watched Sugarland my girlfriend said she probably wouldn't watch it but then got drawn in. I knew I knew the main actor but it took me about 20 minutes before I screamed "WALTER PECK!!!" and she did a check for me. I can't remember seeing him in anything else but really liked him. I'm taking my anger for Peck down a notch next time I watch Ghostbusters.
I never liked Duel. I'll probably give it another chance sometime. They showed it in my local Sally Army one weekend on Super 8 and some Dracula films. This geezer had the equipment and used to show the films he had - we all had videos at home but it was exciting for some reason. And yes - showing horror films to kids and nobody gave a damn. They'd have him on a charge nowadays and put him on the news for being a depraved monster.

You do know Saville and the others weren't showing kids horror films, right?
