Yeah, a lot of people seemed to agree, I just thought I'd post this as it seemed to get a bit overlooked at the box office. Maybe it can gain a cult following on DVD.

Great Star Wars film, pay no attention to the people who say its dissapointing. What they were expecting from a Star Wars film i don't know

I'm not being defensive, I just didn't know why Disney films were being seen as a special case.
Most Blu-Ray new releases are widely available at the £15 mark, so knocking 10% off that seems like a good deal to me. (Like I say, the last deal hit almost 400 degrees at £14.39.)
Let's see what the rest of HUKD thinks...

Still too much for a Disney film.

Not quite, Disney have their own rival download service in the US, which is why none of the Marvel films have come with UV since they bought out Marvel either (and I believe that those titles that did originally come with UV before the buy-out have now been removed from UV).

Sorry I misread who replied in the chain
You were jokingly implying that his opinion goes against the majority as the film was well received at the box office. He did not seem to catch that with his reply, so I was pointing it out, not meaning to be confrontational or anything

Very good film. It was not disappointing. Abrams did very well with the look and the feel of the film. The story is also very similar to A New Hope. You can tell he is a Star Wars fan. Where Lucas went wrong, with Episode 1 - 3, was that he took too much of a departure from the look and the feel of 4 - 6. They felt like there was no continuity or familiarity with the classics. Where as Abrams has used that to great effect. Saying that I think 1 - 3 are not that bad.
Hot deal by the way

Agreed. My favourite of the Star Wars films to be honest. The original 3 are all ok but I just don't get what the big deal is about them! I find it tough going to sit through any of episodes I-VI these days but my face held a big chuffing, stupid grin throughout VII. Each to their own though!

Good price for a new release and will probably order it then add it to my star wars boxset and I'm sure I've got some rakuten points as well

A repackaged super duper edition release with 3D included maybe 12 months down the line maybe?
Not a sniff on it being released.

Thanks for the suggestion. If it was just a few pence difference I would agree, but a drop of a quid in the list price would seem to warrant a repost, I think. Certainly we see reposts of other deals with lesser price drops.
