Lowest I've seen one of these sets in roughly 18 months. An Amazon drop has triggered a Zoom price match - plus the voucher takes you down to £44.70. Not available on Blu-ray and this series isn't available on many streaming services at all.
Amazon link to £49.18 in first comment for those who prefer Amazon. I've gone with Zoom myself as I've used them a lot lately, and I've found their service reliable and the prices always competitive, with an ever-present discount code or two knocking about.

Received mine this morning (sat). Anyone who missed this deal and is vigilant: one of these sets is new and sealed, at £44.99+£3.30 postage right now on eBay.
TNG bluray had a high RRP too because allegedly to do the whole run cost ~£15m, yes MILLION pounds to remaster. It had to be 4:3, because the entire show was shot for it.
The worse problem with the later shows is CGI. TNG had very little and most of it's practical effects were retained albeit touched up and tweaked lightly with the aid of computer work.
DS9 and particularly Voyager however had lots more CGI effect shots and unique effects as they were later shows, so to redo most of those would pretty much make them uneconomical. I appreciate everyone would prefer a remaster 'done right' but if it's too expensive, surely just a 'warts and all' conversion would be better than none at all.

Apparently the TNG remaster didn't sell as well as Paramount expected, I can imagine it being in 4:3 had a lot to do with it. I would love to see a DS9 remaster but yeah I don't think they are going to risk funding a conversion again.

Yes sadly virtually impossible we will ever see a Blu-ray version of DS9 or Voyager as it would cost too much to restore and the potential market is smaller than TOS or TNG.

I was expecting Axanar to be a low budget mess, but looks much better than I expected with much better acting that I expected too. Obviously Paramount have to be dicks and file a lawsuit against the kickstarters.
 was quite amusing. Bashir and the chief were talking about Kira staying at his place, helping her out of his bath. He was holding the towel up when Bashir asks "did you seek a peek".

Jumped into season five of late and it brings back memories. Only now noticed a few odd lines that won't be very PC nowadays....

Was one of the lines "nice @ss Dax.."?
...mind you...the might have replaced the actress who played Dax by then. In which case it'd be "Dax...where's your @ss?" :stuck_out_tongue:

There IS a new Trek TV show starting in 2017, but only on Paramount's own streaming channel.
This is likely why they've started suing fan-made Trek shows like Axanar.

TOS, TNG and Enterprise, yes - but not DS9 or Voyager, sadly.
