So I have recently ran out of spotify premium from the last deal 99p for 3 months, and whilst it's not the cheapest deal for spotify premium ever it is still good enough for £1.99 as buying it directly from spotify is £9.99 a month. Another advantage is that it is available for both new and existing customers.
All you have to do is go through 'get deal' and although it is spotify US it will work at the end. You only have to link your PSN account with spotify, if you don't have a PSN account that's no problem at all, just create one for free, that'll take you 1 minute. After that you will automatically see the options for selecting the country, I selected United Kingdom and price automatically converted from $2.00 for 2 months to £1.99 for 2 months. After payment you can enjoy premium features without any struggle for 2 months, just don't forget to cancel before otherwise you will be billed £9.99 after 2 months.
You can also use the UK link (now?)

It worked for me perfectly, all spotify premium features are now reinstated on my account and playlists resynced to offline mode (this alone will save me a fortune over 2 months in terms of data that spotify uses when listening online).

I'm glad that it worked for someone!
I was thinking about sticking to the free version, but guess what, I can't even play the music on my phone in the sequence that I want it to be played without premium version. On top of that if used in online mode it just soaks data up, and for someone that has 2gb data allowance per month this is something that is really useful for me.

I actually like being forced to listen to things in random order...it has helped me discover no end of new music!
Oh...and a useful way to get around the 6 skip limitation is to just click back and forth between playlists. The songs are always randomised, so it is effectively the same as skipping tracks.

The cancellation should be done through your PSN account I believe as it's not a direct spotify subscription, but the promo that PSN does instead in partnership with them. Supposedly it should only work on PS3 and PS4 + Xperia devices, but it works perfectly on PC and on my iPhone.

4 Mar 16#26
I like the sound of the deal but I don't really trust Spotify as I've signed up for it at a super-cheap rate before only to discover they've charged me the full rate instead of the figure quoted on screen when I hit the "pay" button. Of course I've had a Spotify trial (and happily paid to use it for a bit) before so they give the "Deal is only for new customers" response (the small print being displayed at the basement HQ behind a door with a poster saying "beware of the tiger"... probably), but then you get offers like these which the OP says are for new and old customers, but seeing how many people have been charged £10 here do I really want to take the risk?
Plus on top of that I've had problems with PSN lately (bought the new Walking Dead storygame, paid my money, hit download, no response. It worked three days later but again, not a good sign), so we have to rely on two poor companies working together...
iEimis to Gibb000ns
4 Mar 16#27
I don't think that those particular users have been charged £9.99 if stated as £1.99, I think what they meant is that it comes up as £9.99 instead of £1.99. I don't know why for some people it does work (having worked for me too yesterday) and for some it doesn't.
All I can say is that I went through the groupon originally, clicked the button to link my spotify account with PSN account (as I didn't had PSN account I quickly created one, I put my correct address and changed the country from US to UK as well, then hit the register). I didn't even had to activate PSN account, I just pressed the button to link them and next thing I've done is proceeded to payment. £1.99 have now been processed in my bank account and I can enjoy all of the premium features without any problems.
Someone had mentioned that they had trial through PSN before, so that might well be the issue preventing from getting this deal.

I created a PSN a/c just to try this... Once I linked my Spotify a/c with my PSN a/c, the price I am given is £9.99 per month.
If you've ever had a free trial of premium, I don't think this will work for you.
Thanks for posting, good deal for those who can get it.
Worked for me via groupon had to use incognito mode.
You can cancel right now to avoid forgetting about it! Here's how:
Unless you cancel your subscription prior to the end of the trial, it will automatically renew into a paid subscription and continue to renew at the end of each subscription period.
Duration: until cancellation
Billing frequency: every month
Billing amount: £9.99
This subscription is designed to automatically renew at the end of the subscription period for successive renewal terms. You agree that the renewal fee will be deducted from your SEN wallet. If you do not have sufficient funds in your SEN wallet, the required balance will be charged to the payment card registered to your SEN account (if any) unless you turn off [automatic funding]. You can turn off the auto renewal at any time, and your subscription will expire at the end of its term. To cancel your Spotify Premium Service subscription sign in to Account Management at https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com or cancel from your PS3™ or PS4™ console.
Cheers for sharing all of this. Forgot to mention that I had my AdBlock off whilst purchasing this as well so that might be one issue too. As far as I am aware people who already had trial spotify premium through PSN account won't be able to benefit from this. Now, you can actually unlink your PSN account from spotify if this was ever linked, and create a new PSN account using a different email as that will take you just a minute + you don't have to activate that PSN account. Then re-link accounts using a new PSN account and try this offer again.

So originally I posted saying i was getting "Sorry an error has occurred...". This happened after i linked my spotify account to the PSN.
I thought this could be because i currently have an active premium Spotify account which is going to have the 9.99 renewal in mid march.
