Yah I no! Less P on a phone makes it not as gud as phones with more P! You can get LG G3 for £185 which has loads of P compared to this...

Would never buy Sony Z series again, they get hot and the screen or back plate spontaneously crack into crazy paving hell. This problem hasn't been fixed or even properly acknowledged since the Z1!

I had the spontaneous cracked screen about a month after I bought my Z3 Compact, to Sony's credit, they fixed it within a week, for free. I've had my Z3C since release date now and it's without a doubt the best phone I've owned. I was a bit jaded with Android after having a Nexus 4 which was never particularly stable, and after developing a spontaneously cracked screen roughly 6 months after purchase, LG told me they'd charge me for the repair, despite there being no signs of trauma to the phone (it was just a hairline crack). However, the Z3C is incredibly stable, much more so than my old iPhone and very quick to use with great battery life.
To the people complaining about the 720p screen, I actually see it as an advantage. The screen is only 4.6", so any higher than 720p is overkill, plus it helps the battery life and performance quite considerably.
I've been half tempted by the Z5C, but as much as I like buying new things, it's just not enough of an upgrade. Maybe I'll be tempted by the Z6C, whenever that comes out.

I haven't owned a Sony phone for a while but on the unlocked version I had there was practically no bloatware from what I remember (unlike Samsung and LG)

You're probably right Hulk. But I'm hoping that rooting gives me a little more time before I have to clean the cack off the phone!!
Don't know of anyone then? I know you like to comment on phones and phone related posts.
Anyone else got better news!?

You might find your local unlocking place will give it a go, but I would be personally reluctant because there little protection if they brick it

If you are running out of space that bad you are not likely to resolve that issue for long by just removing some of the pre installed apps :disappointed:

Running out of room.. Moved all the apps etc that I can (along with photos etc) onto my SD card and got loads of free air on that, but the phone is getting clogged up.
Could go through it with a fine toothed comb and get rid of some sh7t, but would prefer to pay someone reliable and save the hassle!!

Does anyone know of a reliable phone shop (or mail order service) where I could get my z3 compact rooted?
I have considered doing it myself, but am not confident that I wouldn't c**k it up!
I live in Halstead, Essex if that helps with the advice!!

I would not be confident that someone you paid to do it wouldn't c0ck it up either. Why are you so keen to root?

Fine pocketable phone, great camera, screen is just fine, good battery life. Dropped it a few times and it seems very stout. Looking forward to the 6 upgrade coming in a few days.
Sony software a bit annoying, a bit peeved to find that non-Sony camera apps do not have access to the full camera resolution (limited to 8MP)
I wanted Wifi calling so I had to buy direct from EE, else I would have jumped on this to replace my Nexus 5

It's what I do when I am taking the micky out of someone for asking a bloody daft question. The Z5C has a 4.6 inch screen and the Z Compact range is known for its excellent battery life. 720p is a perfectly decent resolution for the screen size and is less drain on the battery. This is the latest model in the range and as such its £300. I agree with others that there is not enough to justify the extra £50 over the Z3C but your post was just silly.

Yah buying phone is a decision about cors and P. In order to get da best phone you need da one with da most cors and da most P for the less price. There is formula. Cors x P / Price = da best!

Very tempting. I went back to using my 5C for last few days to see if could cope with 4 inch phone. No was the answer. This is that bit bigger but will hold off as think will drop more when new Sony and especially iPhone 5SE come out. As the owner of a OnePlus X and Moto X 2014 I think 5.0 to 5.2 is the sweet spot. If not for touchwiz and no stereo speakers the S7 looks to have nailed it. If this Z5 was 5.0 I think it's perfect.

Same price as Tesco and Mobilephonesdirect deals in the last week on this site. At what point does this price become normal and not hot. Would rather buy from either of those other sites than eBay ...personal choice.
