@RGS Mine was bought for me as I am out of country this week. I will report back.
I am quite worried about that for two reasons:
1) bloatware can not always be uninstalled
2) If you are reliant on your network to create a bespoke build for any update (as we will be) you have to wait for a) android to release an update b) Sony to customise for M5 c) Voda to customise for them = QUITE A WAIT!!
Voda said last summer in relation to Motorola Androids that they wanted to sell them clean of bloatware, hope this applies to more phones.
I am hoping that @mrspydey can shed light on how best to unlock, without going the Voda route. Many eBay sellers claim they unlock all phones, but are we sure they can unlock M5?
@neozeroone how is the G4, is it worth the extra 50GBP?

Any stock they have on contract can be sold as prepay they simply change it on their system in store same applies to LG G4 shows out of stock online for all stores but when you ask in store most have contract that can be sold as prepay stock very annoying. Got an M5 and a G4 last week on prepay as both in stock on contract.

this deal is not online (at least not yet).
BTW has anyone tried to unlock via a 3rd party and not Vodafone? I did not get a SIM or top-up as I showed them my work blackberry and told them it was to replace that (also on Vodafone). But that is not nano-sim.
Which eBay sellers are best to use? @mrspydey
Do I need a nano sim already in there?
I could ask my current personal provider (THREE) for one as I will probably stick with them for this phone.

bought mine today guys!
£175 +
£10 top up (150 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb data plus 50gb extra for the month, I believe)
+ top up for the next 2 months (could stay on same plan or upgrade for a more expensive one, will not include 50gb data)
+ £20 for unlocking after 3 months
= £225 in total (staying with vodafone for 3 months and price of unlocking)

I bought one today at a Vodafone store in Brighton. They insisted I paid the extra £10 top up. They said it used to be discretionary in-store, but not now. They've been told everyone must pay it.

Was also curious whether this would be an upgrade from my Z3 compact. Think it's negligible really, other than the improved front-facing camera. Much prefer the size of the Z3C too.
Geekbench 3 score is 3,862 so it's ahead of the LG G4 (3,260) and the Nexus 5X (3,543). AnTuTu benchmark score is 52,347 beating the Blackberry Priv and the HTC One A9.

Specs-wise it's not in the same ball park! At least the screen is FHD for a change!
Not sure about the mediatek processor. They say that the GPS problem have been solved but since this is a very good outdoor walking phone itd be a pity if it lost its precise GPS tracking and as I use it for walking navigating would render it useless. Ill stick to my m4 aqua thanks.
