8GB storage, with around 1.2GB free after initial setup. You have been warned!

Beware these are only 8GB versions and have very little free space to store more than a few apps. As soon as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Google Maps etc start caching data, you're screwed! And to those who say "Oh well I can just store my apps on a microSD card!" - this will just slow the phone down massively over time. Read and write speeds of removable media compared to proper inbuilt flash memory is much lower.
The only notable benefit of this phone over a P8 Lite or a Smart Ultra 6 is the water resistance.

Wouldn't necessarily say way better in spec. At this price you are paying more for the extra screen size, storage and screen resolution.
Personally I'd buy this over the Smart Ultra at this price.

Agreed. I'm a pretty light user when it comes to storage but even I wouldn't go below 16GB. A work colleague got this phone with a contract and it was full in about a week. (he'd come from an elephone p6000 which he accidentally trod on!!) and simply thought he could load the same apps he had on the P6000 (16gb storage) with diasastrous results. Would rather forego the water resistance ) and double the storage.

This is due Marshmallow which will resolve the internal storage issue through allowing the SD card to be part of it.
Very poor screen to body ratio on this phone (65.2%). Up there with iPhones lol. The Meizu MX4, for instance, has a 5.4 inch screen but is shorter in height (75.5% screen to body ratio). It's not always about the screen size when it comes to pocket friendliness.
People get carried away with screen size and ignore actual body size. If you can get a bigger screen in the same body size then surely that's a massive plus?
robertoegg to bellboys
31 Mar 16#19
to be honest mate if you're telling me how much better the MX4 is based upon the link below, then I'm snort laughing at you  Seriously? Take a look at the "real world" difference you're calling out.....massive lol at the stat-boys!
Crippled by poor storage, always have 85% full warning. But hey, only 18 months to go :disappointed:

I guess that shows the benefits of doing a little research before buying a phone for your usage.
Will 8GB suffice for my app usage?
Do I want it waterproof?
Do I want a 5.5 inch screen / does my hand fit around a phone that size? Will it fit in my pocket?
Do I need to play games?
Do I want a good camera? Good in day or useful at night as well?
etc, etc
Maybe I'm showing my age! lol

Thank you for this heads-up. I was reliant on marshmallow update for this feature to counteract the internal storage issue. I expect to be cancelling my order now.
I have it. Got it when Vodafone was doing it for £99 last year. Unlocked it cheaply.
Never had overheating issues. Yes, storage space is limited but for me not a problem as I don't use many apps.
Screen is 5 inches, not 5.5. It is a big phone for its screen size. Bigger than my S6, which has a 5.1 inch screen lol.
Will get Marshmallow.
Works ok. It's a nice phone with its only drawback being the limited storage space.

Bought one from O2 in December and it felt snappy for the first week or so.
Not installed much on it as you can't anyway with 8GB and the lag is really noticeable now.
It sits at 85% storage filled and keeps on nagging me about that.
I'll never buy a phone with less than 16GB in the future and glad this is my backup for travelling.

If anyone is planning on ordering to collect in store don't bother waste of a trip for me, they only had two, both open and covered in finger prints, was on live chat for 90 mins and they refused to help saying that stores only carry sealed stock and an online order was not given from store stock anyway and was separately dispatched there. I asked how that works when it's available to collect an hour after ordering and they just ignored me. Waste of time, took the phone back. Not sure whether to order one online for home delivery or shop elsewhere.
Great thanks, can you post the seller?

This Sony has a 5 inch screen and the Meizu has a 5.4 inch screen. In other words, what I was highlighting is the difference in screen to body ratio. The Sony has a very poor one and the Meizu has a very good one. You also may want to check out the contrast in bezel size...
PS Snort laughing? :man:
