I'll say it again, no other cans come even close to the Beyer MMX 300's but they're not cheap and of course you need to run them through a mixamp too.
Really is that old cliché of you get what you pay for.

Yes but 5 working days with 2 bank holidays in the way - I arranged to collect from my local JL. I've just had a look on Smyth's website and their Speke store is showing low stock. JL's website shows Speke as 7 miles from their Liverpool store - so should be within their 8 mile price match radius. Hope this helps.

I've bought these for my son at Christmas & they have just broken in two. My first thought was that he broke them but on inspection, the head band is covered in dozens of cracks across it's width from one end to the other. A quick google suggests that this is a common problem.
keep your receipt great headsets but iv had two fail on around the 12 months mark.

Chasloyal
24 Mar 16#60
I know it's fairly large step up in price but before you buy these Sony's .......put them up against a set of Beyer MMX 300's running through an Astro mixamp, or even the higher end Sennies or Astros and they don't compare.
If you're willing to shell the dough out you'll hear why you've spent that sort of money instantly, rather than keep buying budget ones looking for the right sound it does make sense to buy quality from the outset.
And I do speak from personal experience, I'd say the Astro cans are nowhere near the same league as Beyers, I got a white pair of A40's that came with the Xbone edition Mixamp that I used once. As decent quality as they are they don't come close to the MMX 300's so they went back in the box and have never been used since.
The Germans just manufacture quality, it's that simple.

Got a similar deal to this during "Black Friday". They look great, feel great, sound great, and all the chat capabilities work great too. Nuff said really.
Although I will add that a cool feature of this is that some outside sound comes through the microphone and in to your ears, meaning you can hear the fire alarm going off, baby crying, whatever. The biggest reason why this is good for me is that I can hear my own voice as I speak - it freaks me out when I can't!

Can't fault the price, cracking deal.
However, I got a pair of these in the past and was wholly unimpressed.

Ordered. Simple trick if you want to use them on Xbox is to connect headset to pc then stream xbox to your PC. Can put video quality on very low and minimise since you're only using the stream for audio.
I do this when I want to play xbox and listen/watch something on PC at the same time coming through the one headset.
